Firton turned to leave. Babbit stood there with the feeling of resentment toward Wilbur growing stronger within him. Babbit might be at peak Exalted level now, but he had to spend five thousand years to achieve that.
The energy aura in the middle dimensions was different from other dimensions because of its core. The energy aura here was the strongest, and any cultivator who hade to the nine major towns with a bit of talent would be able to get to the Exalted level through hard work. The Exalted level was a special level more powerful than any form of cultivation across the dimensions. It was a stage of cultivation naturally formed by the energy in the core of the universe.
The Exalted stage operated on the theory that as long as you worked hard enough at something, you would be a master at it.
Most cultivators who hade from other middle dimensions to the nine major towns would usually spend three thousand or more years cultivating before they reached the Exalted level.
Cultivators from the lower dimensions would at least require five thousand years of cultivation. Edmund hade from a lower dimension, and it took him a lot of hard work to open the portal to the middle dimensions.
Here, Edmund had cultivated tirelessly for almost ten thousand years to get to where he was. Knowing what he did during his time in the lower and middle dimensions, he was unwilling to enter the upper dimensions blindly.
Following that, Edmund came up with his n to use the other City Lords'' powers to his advantage. Everything was going ording to n. He had gained control over the Four Great Families and would get five hundred thousand gold coins in offerings every year.
And yet, Wilbur Penn had shown up out of nowhere. He might not have reached his full potential yet, but Edmund had long since sensed the underlying threat and it was making him increasingly ufortable.
Edmund tossed the ounts from the Chris family onto a nearby table after looking through them. Upon recounting Wilbur''s growth, it seemed that Wilbur might really be the dragon n cultivator George had mentionedst time.
"F*ck! Wilbur''s bronze mirror had to be a dimensional treasure!" Edmund cursed.
A look of shock flickered in Edmund''s eyes before it was quickly reced with regret. He had kept Wilbur in the Reyne family for five whole years, and not once had he thought of the bronze mirror.
It was no wonder Wilbur''s cultivation had improved so quickly. The speed of time in the mirror dimension could be several hundred times faster than it was outside!
It was possible that Wilbur had received five hundred years of cultivation in just five years. That bronze mirror was definitely a rare treasure!
Edmund sighed to himself. Had he just killed Wilbur and taken the bronze mirror from him, Edmund would have been able to improve his cultivation much faster. Yet now that he was a City Lord, the other City Lords would be able to detect each other''s auras.
Edmund''s aura would disappear once he entered the mirror dimension to cultivate, drawing the attention of the other City Lords for sure. In fact, they could even take over Buck Town while Edmund was absent and rece him with a new City Lord.
Since Edmund was now a City Lord dealing with the upper dimension cultivators through money for bigger benefits, dimensional treasures did not really mean much to him.
Edmund knew that even if he did acquire a dimensional treasure, it would still end up going to someone else anyway.
