It was dark outside by the time Wilbur returned to his senses, and the left side of his chest had turned ck. There was a chill that radiated from the seal which
soothed his pain.
He thought back to his fight against the snow wolves. Making a few attacks had resulted in such a terrible bacsh. Wilbur finally understood then that his body had not gotten used to the energy aura in a middle dimension just yet.
The only way for Wilbur to be able to start cultivating was to wait until his body had adjusted to the energy aura. Just as Wilbur was about to meditate, a ck figure appeared at the entrance of the cave. Wilbur looked up and saw that it was the man from earlier in the day who had wanted a gold coin from him in exchange for saving his life.
"So, this is where you''ve been hiding. You''re pretty good at sneaking around, I have to say, but I still found you in the end. You must be new here, eh? Let me guess, you can''t get into Buck Town because you don''t have a town token?"
Wilbur eyed the man warily. "Why are you so concerned? I think we''re hardly even friends."
The man raised an eyebrow, before saying, "You''re right. We aren''t friends, but for now, neither are we enemies. I think there''s a fair chance for us to end up on either side. You look like you''re hurt pretty badly. I reckon if we were to battle now, you might notst."
Wilbur red at the ck-haired man. "Is that a threat?"
The man chuckled. "No, I''m not threatening you. I just think we could work together, you know. I saw you kill those three snow wolves, and I was hoping you would consider giving this partnership a chance. You might not have a town token... but I do. You can be in charge of killing snow wolves, and I''ll take the wolf pelts into town to be sold off. We''ll split the profits; one wolf pelt would get us one bronze coin. If you can kill ten snow wolves every day, we can get ten bronze coins each day."
Wilbur said, "Your n sounds pretty good, but I can''t even get into town. Coins don''t matter to me."
"Oh, that''s where you''re mistaken. I didn''t have a town token either until I spent a hundred silver coins on one."
Wilbur raised a brow. "You can get a town token with a hundred silver coins?"
"You heard that right. That means as long as you''re still alive, you have a shot at getting into Buck Town."
Wilbur was rather tempted and asked, "Alright. How many bronze coins make a hundred silver coins?"
The man stuck out a finger. "One thousand bronze coins make one silver coin." Wilbur was dumbfounded when he heard that. It meant that he would need a hundred thousand bronze coins just to get a town token. Which also meant that... he would have to kill and skin one hundred thousand snow wolves.
This seemed like an impossible task toplete in a short time. Buck Town was a bloodthirsty town with danger lurking around every corner, and killing one hundred thousand snow wolves just did not seem realistic at all.
Besides, this man was just saying that he wanted to befriend Wilbur. His true intentions were still unclear.
