However, Holt ordered the artillery units to stay low. It seemed like the Ede military was in trouble. Themanding officer grew increasingly anxious as he watched the cultivators getting closer with each passing second. They soon moved past thest firing line, so themanding officer could only sigh internally at the sight.


    As the cultivators came closer, Holt abruptly opened his eyes and yelled, "Ice archers, take aim!"


    Ten ice archers appeared thirty meters in front of Holt. The ice archers were all muscr cultivators with a huge bow in hand. They loaded their arrows after receiving the order from Holt and aimed their arrows at the iing cultivators.


    Themanding officer sighed to himself when he saw that and retorted in his mind, ''What year is it now? I can''t believe Mister Holt is trying to take them down with such primitive means. We''re going against cultivators! Even cannons can''t take them down for sure. What makes you think arrows will do the trick?''


    Themanding officer simply looked away because he assumed they would lose the battle.


    Just then, Holt yelled, "Ice archers, attack!"


    Swoosh!

    Arrows flew forward, leaving their bows, and themanding officer had to look up. He noticed the cultivators activated their shields just as the arrows were about to hit them. However, when the arrows came in contact with the shields, they simply vanished, and the cultivators were frozen in ce.


    "What?"


    Themanding officer was in shock, unable to believe what he just witnessed. Then, the ice archers quickly reloaded their arrows and shot the first four blocks of ice. The ice blocks exploded, and the cultivators were shattered into pieces.


    However, the final ice block cracked open, and the pre-Emperor level cultivator flew out from the ice block and soared to the sky. He flipped in the air like a bird and charged right at Holt.


    The ice archers attacked again before he got close. Arrows flew at him, and the pre-Emperor level cultivator unleashed a powerful energy to stop the arrows.


    However, part of the energy was absorbed by the arrows, and they turned into an ice storm. The extreme cold froze the pre-Emperor level cultivator almost instantly. Right after that, a few more arrows pierced right through the frozen block of ice.


    Boom!


    The ice block exploded, and the pre-Emperor level cultivator was instantly shattered. Themanding officer was stunned to see that. He knew that cultivation was difficult, and there were very few cultivators who managed to reach the Sanctuary level. Fewer still reached the pre-Emperor level.


    He could not imagine how hard that guy had to work to be a pre-Emperor level cultivator. However, Holt killed him in under a minute with ten ice archers.


    Holt looked at themanding officer and asked with a smile, "You must be curious about how I did it, right?"
