"Mister Wind Sprite!"
Wilbur stared as Wind Sprite left, falling into a silent daze. Indeed, Wilbur had pulled his strongest move in the battle with Wind Sprite earlier. If the other two guardians were even stronger than him, it would be quite impossible for Wilbur to win.
But Wilbur did not want to lose. He had gone through so much to get here and would have to wait another ten years if he failed now.
Ten years was a long time for a cultivator and getting banned from entering the Vicente Primeval Forest over his defeat was humiliating.
Wind Sprite''s words reyed over and over again in Wilbur''s head as he walked along in the forest. Wilbur did not want to lose, and he gritted his teeth. "I''m sure there''s a way to turn the tables!"
After giving it some thought, Wilbur lit up as if he had an epiphany.
"That''s it! The Dragon''s Altar!"
The Dragon Move came from the Dragon''s Altar, and Wilbur had acquired many great things from the altar. Maybe he would be able to get something that could help him with the grace points he umted.
Everything Wilbur had gotten from the Dragon''s Altar was extremely precious, and he now had twenty thousand grace points from the copper ore he acquired from Tuttle Mine.
Wilbur believed he might just be able to pass this next test with the help of those grace points.
After looking around and making sure there was no one around, Wilbur entered his demine to visit the Dragon''s Altar.
The screen appeared upon sensing Wilbur''s presence. He stared at the golden hourss. There were exactly twenty thousand grace points.
It was not long before the options popped up, and Wilbur''s gaze fell on the first
one.
"Dragon Spirit Essence: An energy being who has cultivated for a hundred years will release all of his cultivations upon using this. The consumer of the essence will be able to absorb as much of this cultivation as they can with their own powers."
Wilbur saw a scarecrow-like image that kept spinning at the end of the description, and he was confused. Did this energy being really have a hundred years of cultivation?
It was important to note that cultivating for a hundred years was far from easy. Despite the fact that many cultivators practiced evil sorcery and some of them even sacrificed themselves to evil spirits to gain powers that would allow them to devour the cultivation of others, people like that were bound to be the public enemy to the cultivation circle.
Many cultivators wanted the powers of a hundred, a thousand, or even ten thousand years of cultivation, but chances like that solely relied on fate.
Without fate, cultivators who tried to absorb the powers of others would face hurdle after hurdle, and eventually be ughtered. There have been three such instances that were better known around the world. One had absorbed just ten years of cultivation, another a hundred, and thest one three hundred years.
Wilbur remembered the incident as clear as day. It required two cultivators to take down the cultivator who had absorbed ten years of cultivation, five cultivators to take down the cultivator who had absorbed a hundred years of cultivation, and a whopping fifty cultivators to take down the cultivator who had absorbed three hundred years of cultivation. Out of the fifty cultivators who took up the task, thirty of them had died.
This news had rocked the cultivator circle and caused supervision to tighten its restrictions. Thus, there were few cultivators who had absorbed more than a hundred years of cultivation now.
Of course, that Dark Messenger from Light Valley was an exception. After all, he had killed over twenty chosen ones and absorbed all of their powers. Even if each of the chosen ones had just ten years of cultivation, which would mean that the Dark Messenger had absorbed over two hundred years of cultivation.
At that thought, Wilbur let out a gasp. He gathered his thoughts, then looked back
at the screen and froze at what he saw. One Dragon Soul Essence would cost him ten thousand grace points!
