    The sight was magnificent and breathtaking, and Wilbur seemed to be filled with courage in its wake. It was as if he had been blessed by the protection of the golden dragon and had nothing else to fear.


    "Come on, then!"


    Wilbur put both his hands together, sitting up from the ground as his eyes flew open.

    Wilbur looked around in surprise. His dream fadedpletely, but the power he felt in his body was very real.


    "Oh, you''re awake. Had a nightmare, huh? Don''t worry, no one''s going to hurt you with me around."


    Wilbur looked up to see Wind Sprite walking toward him.


    "Mister Wind Sprite, I..."


    "You won."


    The Wind Sprite reached out with his right hand. "You''ve passed my test, which means you''ve defeated one out of the three guardians of the formation cores."


    Wilbur took Wind Sprite''s hand, pulling himself to his feet, and brushed the dust off his body. Everything that happened before he passed out felt almost unreal. "I can''t believe I defeated you, Mister Wind Sprite."


    Wind Sprite scoffed, ncing at Wilbur. "Yes, but don''t get too cocky just yet. I''m the weakest one among the three guardians. The other two are far ahead of me."


    "Also, ten days have passed since your agreement with Master Josie. That means you only have twenty days left. I must admit that your dragon cultivation skills are powerful, but I''m also pretty sure that using them will drain you of spirit energy. When someone is drained of spirit energy, they burn out and lose consciousness. This time you passed out for seven days, and if you do that again I doubt you''d be able toplete your mission within a month. You''d just fail like that."
