Madam Judy looked at Wilbur. "I know you and Ellen are frompletely
separate worlds but thank you for helping her heal from such a painful time. The thing is, I think Ellen''s falling deeper and deeper in love with you. If you''re not staying in Migorn, I think it''s time you made a decision."
Wilbur took a deep breath. "I know, Madam Judy. Thank you for reminding me."
The next morning, Wilbur took the first ne out of Migorn. He was nowhere to be found by the time Ellen had woken up, a letter taking his ce on the pillow next to hers. Ellen opened the letter, and tears of joy flowed down her face.
This rtionship had been so sudden, but it had given Ellen many lovely memories that made her ready to start a new life.
...
Wilbur''s nended in Korlyn, the capital of Rostead by noon. Wilbur exited the airport and took out his phone to call Kearson''s phone.
Kearson was the head of the Korlyn City Museum, which housed the seventh dragon cauldron. Rostead was a small country, and thus most of their smaller city museums were allowed to trade collectibles as they saw fit.
This meant that the seventh dragon cauldron appeared to be in the museum, but Kearson was the only person who had a say on who it actually belonged to. The truth was that artifacts like the seventh dragon cauldron did not belong to the country of the museum they were housed in and were thus allowed to be traded.
National museums mostly dealt with legal transactions. Some of these processes were a little moreplicated, but city museums were apletely different story. All it took was Kearson''s approval, and Wilbur would be able to get his hands on an artifact or collectible.
Thus, Wilbur pretty much saw the seventh dragon cauldron as private property. He found out that Kearson was an avid drinker and nned a night of drinking for Kearson to lower his guard and sell the cauldron to Wilbur.
Rostead was not a wealthy country at all, and that only prompted their people to trade for money even more. The people of Rostead had a great thirst for money and prosperity, and thus many transactions were considered to be allowed here as long as they did not hurt anyone.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Mister Kearson? I''d like to discuss a business opportunity with you."
"Oh? What''s your name, and what business opportunity is this?"
"My name is Wilbur Penn. I heard that there''s a bronze cauldron from Dasha that''s housed in the Korlyn City Museum. I''m from Dasha, and I was hoping that I could purchase it from the museum and return it to my country as a contribution of sorts."
"Oh, it''s you, Mister Penn. My apologies, I''ve got a lot on my te at the moment and don''t really have the time to speak to you about this. How about we get back in touch in a few more days?"
Wilbur knew that Kearson was just trying to beat around the bush here. After all, people of lower positions like him did not get many calls on artifacts, and Kearson had a reputation to maintain.
He was the head of the Korlyn City Museum. How could he just agree to meet some random guy he didn''t even know?
