Wilbur smiled when he heard Kearson. He said, "Are you free tonight, Mister Kearson? I''m in Korlyn City, and I reserved a table at the Amelia, the five-star hotel. I hope you cane by. Of course, I''ve prepared some fine wine for you to taste too."
"Hm... I''ll make time for you since you made such a generous offer. I''ll be there at the hotel tonight. I hope you don''t let me down, Mister Penn."
"Of course."
Wilbur hung up and stayed at the Amelia Hotel. After a brief rest, he went to a well-known wine store in Korlyn City and purchased some locally popr wine before returning to the hotel. After making a reservation, he went to his room and meditated while sitting cross-legged.
Kearson came by for dinner that night as promised. Wilbur offered Kearson a toast with the wine and Kearson did not refuse the drink. They ate and drank merrily, and finally closed the deal in an amicable manner, with Wilbur purchasing the seventh dragon cauldron with a million dors. Kearson told Wilbur to collect the seventh dragon cauldron at the museum the next morning before leaving in a taxi.
Wilbur went back to his room and forced the alcohol out of his body with his spiritual energy. He sat cross-legged and meditated, unleashing his dragon aura which filled the room. After half an hour, Wilbur sensed a man with ck robes and a cane at the door with his dragon aura. The man was standing at the door as if he wanted to enter the room.
However, the man stopped when he raised the cane, after which he quickly turned and left. Wilbur quickly opened his eyes and hopped out of the bed. He opened the door and ran out, yelling, "Who is it?"
He turned and saw that the man turned a corner and vanished. Wilbur quickly chased after him. However, the man was nowhere in sight by the time Wilbur got around the corner.
Wilbur chased him all the way downstairs and to the streets, but he did not see the man. He stood on the busy street, hesitating for a moment before turning around and returning to the hotel.
The man was able to find him, which meant that he might show up again. With the man acting in the dark, Wilbur did not think it was possible for him to find the guy without any clues. All he could do was just to wait for the man to appear once more.
Wilbur returned to his room and thought about what happened. He shut his eyes and rxed his body. Then, he remembered the visual he saw outside his door. It seemed like his dragon aura was connected to his instincts. However, he could only sense danger in a highly rxed state.
Wilbur felt troubled if that was the case. It was almost impossible to battle someone in a highly rxed state as a cultivator, after all. Wilbur thought he could improve by learning the dragon aura, but cultivating the dragon aura would be meaningless if it could only be mastered in a highly rxed state.
Wilbur channeled his dragon aura into the cauldron, then fell into deep thought. He wondered why the man chose to leave right before he was about to enter the
room.
It was an abnormal behavior. Could it be that he sensed something amiss?
Wilbur believed the man came with a goal in mind since he was able to locate Wilbur. Otherwise, no one could easily find him when he was in another nation. He also believed that the man did not choose to leave on a whim and that the man must have sensed his dragon aura.
Was he capable of sensing the dragon aura too? Was that why he gave up on entering the room? Just who was that guy, and what was he doing here in Rostead? Could he possibly be someone from the Church of the Holy Illuminati? Wilbur''s mind was gued by a slew of questions.
