There never was a case of the Judge of Greensource Corp being murdered before this. The Judges were considered peacekeepers of Greensource Corp, and their very existence was a symbol of thepany''s power and authority.
No n would work without any rules in order, and the murder of a Judge was considered humiliating to Greensource Corp. Demetra was clearly challenging the boundaries of thepany here.
Jeckle had been worried that Demetra might rece his position one day or the two of them might have to swap positions eventually and he would be under Demetra''s control, but that was clearly never going to happen now.
This was a huge matter that directly went against the rules of thepany, and Greensource Corp sent over an order to Jeckle''sputer at once. He took in the sight of the A-level missions appearing on the screen, with his lips slowly shifting into a grin.
"Have you ever been in contact with an A-level assassin before, Avinki?"
It was a quiet night as Wilbur sat cross-legged on the bed in the attic. He was resting, but also waiting for something in a way. rk and Demetra''s defeat was bound to anger Greenpeace Corp, and Wilbur was pretty sure that there was no way they were going to let him go.
This night was not going to be quiet for much longer.
Yet Wilbur sat on the bed for an entire night but sensed no abnormal waves of spiritual energy around him. Dawn came eventually, and Wilbur raised an eyebrow at the rays of sun streaming through the windows in slight confusion.
Now that Greensource Corp had found where he was, there was no way they were going to let him go. After Demetra, they would definitely send even more powerful assassins. Why was it so peaceful then?"
A knock sounded on the door. "It''s time for breakfast, Mister Penn. Can Ie inside?"
"Sure. Come on in."
Tina pushed the door open, entering the attic.
Both of them ate as Wilbur told Tina about his worries. Tina was confused as well, frowning as she said, "That doesn''t sound right. Considering how Greensource Corp operates, they would have sent an assassin after you first thing."
"Could they have changed their mind?" asked Wilbur.
Tina shook her head. "That''s impossible. Greensource Corp''s never changed their mind once they''ve decided on something. Any changes along the way can only mean that a bigger threat has appeared for them to prioritize first."
"A bigger threat?" Wilbur frowned, confused. "What could it be?"
Tina shrugged. After all, Wilbur had killed Mondorra and rk, even defeating Demetra. Tina was pretty certain that Greensource Corp had never encountered a threat bigger than Wilbur ever since they hade to be.
A thought came to Wilbur''s mind all of a sudden. "Could it be him?"
"Who?"
"Demetra."
Wilbur had defeated Demetra in their battle, but he spared Demetra''s life and let him go.
It was pretty obvious that Demetra would be sentenced to death eventually by Greensource Corp, seeing as he had failed their mission.
Maybe Greensource Corp had prioritized killing Demetrast night, thus neglecting Wilbur.
