Demetra was indeed a powerful force, and Wilbur felt that he would not have been able to defeat him had it not been for the Light of Dragon.
The power of destruction was far too powerful, one that anyone would fear.
Wilbur could not help but feel worried for Demetra. After all, Greensource Corp was extremely powerful, and Demetra might not be able to escape his punishment.
Upon second thought, Wilbur realized that this was what Demetra had chosen for himself. Demetra had joined Greensource Corp and should have known that this might happen.
At around ten in the morning, Tina received a call from Madam Marie. After a brief chat, Tina came up to the attic and handed the phone to Wilbur.
"Hello, Madam Marie. Is anything the matter?"
Marie sounded like she was on the verge of tears. "My father''s gotten worse, Mister Penn. he''s finished the medicine we bought for him, and it''s only gone up in price. The doctors said he needs to be operated on next week, or his life will be in danger... but the surgery is so, so expensive. The Jonan family''s on a downward spiral, and I don''t have any more money to sustain these costly fees, so I thought of you, Mister Penn, and was wondering if you could help me out here. My father''s left behind a rather sizable collection of antiques, and I hope you''d be interested to take a look at them here."
"Oh, alright. I''ll think about it."
"Could youe this afternoon? I can''t exactly afford to wait any longer."
"Alright, then. I''lle and see you at Pilsey with Tina in the afternoon, and we can talk then."
"Thank you, Mister Penn. God bless you." Marie sobbed as she hung up the call.
Wilbur heaved a sigh of relief. Despite the fact that he would probably be able to buy out Marie''s father''s entire collection for a rtively low price and save a great deal of money considering the situation the Jonan family was in, Wilbur was not the kind to take advantage of others like that.
There had been new developments with Marie''s father''s condition, and Wilbur had ns to help Marie out instead of trying to get a good bargain. Wilbur was in a rather good mood since he was going to get more grace points out of this.
Tina frowned at him. "Mister Penn, Madam Marie''s father isn''t doing so well. Let''s try not to haggle, shall we?"
"Of course, Tina! What do you take me for? Don''t worry, I''m not going to try anything. You''lle with me in the afternoon, and you can decide on the price then. How''s that?"
Tina flushed a deep scarlet. "Me?"
Later that afternoon, Wilbur drove himself and Tina to Pilsey following the address Madam Marie had given them to her family manor.
The Jonan Manor looked enormous from the outside, but it was overgrown with weeds that clearly implied ack of maintenance. Marie''s father, Albus Jonan''s sickness had been a great worry of the entire family and cost too much money for Marie to be able to afford gardeners to maintain the manor.
Madam Marie was already waiting for Wilbur and Tina at the door with her butler Harold in tow when they arrived. She gave Wilbur a big hug, tearfully inviting the two of them inside.
The Jonan Manor was extremely big, and Marie revealed that it had been purchased by her grandfather, Garcia Jonan, and then passed down through the generations.
"My grandfather was a collector, just like my father. He loved collecting antiques all around the world. In fact, I''m pretty sure that my father got into antiques because of my grandfather."
Wilbur knew that Marie would appreciate it if they got to the point as soon as possible, as the money was desperately needed to save her father.
"Well then, Madam Marie. Could I ask how many antiques you have here at home, and how much you''d be willing to let them go for?"
