Wilbur knew that something was off at once as well.
It was definitely no coincidence that someone was taking photos at a time like
this.
Elsa''s expression darkened, and she shouted, "Bring them over here!"
A team of Special Forces officers ran over.
Very soon, a few people holding professional cameras were brought over.
All of them seemed strangely calm.
Wilbur looked at them quietly, his expression ashen.
Elsa turned to them coldly. "Who are you, and why are you here?"
"We''re reporters. Here''s my license." One young man took out a reporter''s ID and passed it to Elsa.
Elsa nced at it. "Wade Holen, a reporter for the CNS?"
"That''s right. These are all fellow industry members of mine, just not from the samework."
Elsa frowned. "Why are you all here?"
"We received aint about an illegal arrest and mistreatment of the elderly, so we came to do some field work." A smug smirk appeared on Wade''s face.
Elsa turned to Wilbur at the words.
Just then, Faye turned to whisper in Wilbur''s ear, "Watch out. Someone''s trying to get you into trouble. We''re going to be the talk of the town the second this goes up."
Wilbur knew how fast news spread on the inte, and thus saw how serious of a matter this was.
Just then, one of the middle-aged women stood up and stuck out her chin haughtily at Wilbur and the others.
"Do you really think we''re that out of the loop, young man? Just wait until the news about this gets out. We were just trying to exercise, and you had Special Forcese and arrest us! I''d like to see what you have to say then. Have fun drowning in hatefulments."
The woman looked to be in herte sixties. She was dressed head to toe in designer clothes and looked to be in great shape as well.
The only problem was that personality of hers.
Just then, Wilbur walked over to her. "What''s your name, ma''am?"
"Everyone knows Madam Susan Yown! She''s the leader of our exercise group. Also, by the way, this isn''t even all of us yet! We have plenty more members," an old man added arrogantly from nearby.
Susan looked nothing but smug. "You can''t get away with anything just because you''ve got a little money on you. I''m going to get you good."
Wilbur scowled at Susan. It was clear that she was the mastermind behind this.
She was trying to take up space on Wilbur''s grounds and was more than happy to get it through less-than-savory ways. Wilbur made up his mind to teach her a lesson, but not now.
He looked over at the reporters. "I''ve exined to everyone that this is private property, and you can''t enter without permission. They just refused to listen, and even attacked my staff! I had no choice but to let Special Forces handle it. This is clearly a public disruption."
"Oh, really now? All I see is you calling Special Forces on a group of powerless senior citizens in the middle of a peaceful protest," Wade said nonchntly.
Wilbur understood the meaning of the words then.
These reporters were clearly in cahoots with the old folks as well.
Wilbur smirked to himself. These bastards were going to learn to be better at picking their battles the hard way.
He looked over to Elsa. "I''ve exined everything. The authorities can handle the rest."
Wilbur turned to head back inside after that.
Just then, Faye came over to Elsa and whispered, "Tell them to leave and warn
them against reporting false information. Cape''s reputation, as well as Wilbur''s, will be affected for sure."
Elsa nodded.
