The men were all good drinkers, as well as Faye, Eileen, and Elsa. Everyone drained everyst drop of their sses, having a brilliant time.
Lily was the only one who did not touch a single drop of alcohol, sitting aside quietly.
Wilbur looked around at the crowd, his gaze shing with wistfulness.
Nancy was not there.
Faye saw the look in his eyes and raised her ss. "What''s on your mind?"
"Oh, nothing." Wilbur clinked his ss against hers.
Faye chuckled. "I''d better hope so."
She drained the contents of her ss, barely able to contain how smug she was. "Have fun thinking about that."
The mealsted until a little past ten. Everyone was still chattering away happily, with no intention of leaving.
Just then, Wilbur''s phone rang. He picked up a call from Charles, who sounded nothing but anxious again. "They''re back, sir! There are more of them this time, with banners and everything, staging a protest!"
Wilbur could hardly contain his fury. What did these old geezers take him for?
He got to his feet, turning to Faye. "I''ve got to take care of some things. You guys have fun."
"What''s the matter?" Faye hurried to ask.
Wilbur frowned. "The same people from just now. They''re back again. I''m going to take a look."
Faye got up in a hurry as well. "I''m going too!"
The rest of the room saw this and asked what was going on.
Upon hearing that the old folks were back to cause trouble, all of them red up in fury.
The nerves of these people.
No one in the room had the mood to keep on drinking anymore, and everyone hurried out of the hotel to rush back to Seke Ind.
Over at the bridge.
There were now close to two hundred old folks this time, crowding around one
end of the bridge andpletely blocking the entrance.
A dozen of them were even raising banners that wrote:
"God hates people who disrespect their elders!"
"Your hearts are as cold as the public property you are keeping us from!"
"Down with the heartlessndlords who withhold our fitness from us!"
Wilbur''s expression darkened murderously at the sight of that.
This was no longer a case of ignorance. These people were truly rotten to the core and could not be reasoned with.
They were hellbent on thinking that they had done nothing wrong, spreading ruthless usations on the banners they were showing.
Elsa turned to Wilbur. "These people need a lesson, Boss. Special Forces can handle this."
The detention center might be hesitant to arrest so many senior citizens, but Chief Elsa Janae was more than capable of doing so if she really wanted to.
Wilbur nodded. "Yeah, I guess they won''t listen. Get someone here to chase them away, then. Arrest anyone who tries to fight back, and have their childrene to bail them out.
"This is a case of tant public disruption. It won''t be a problem." Elsa took out her phone to call Special Forces once more.
These old geezers had crossed a line both morally and legally, and it was time they were taught a lesson.
The Special Forces officers returned not long after and surrounded the senior citizens.
Elsa came forward. "You can leave now and nevere back, or you can get arrested and have your children bail you out. Got it?"
"Who do you think you''re scaring?"
"I dare you to arrest all of us, go on! This country hasws for a reason!"
"Yeah! We hate rich bastards like you! How dare you keep us from having our evening exercises?"
These people clearly came prepared and were not backing down in the slightest. Elsa''s expression darkened, and she waved a hand. "Take ''em all away."
The Special Forces officers came crowding over, dragging the old folks onto the
cars.
The old folks struggled with all their might, but they were obviously nowhere near as strong as the officers were and could not break free.
Just then, a few shes of light went off in the nearby forest, flickering continuously.
"Someone''s trying to stir up trouble with this incident!" Faye shouted at once.
