Liza pretentiously ced her hand on her abdomen and pretended to be in great pain.


    “Elion, you just saved my life and I can’t watch anyone talk down on you even if it means I should trade my life for you.”


    Liza exined with so much affection in her voice.


    Maya immediately ran to her, and pretended to be supporting her and took her to her bed and helped her to lie down before chipping in an advice. “Miss Liza, you shouldn’t risk your life because of that slut. She’s not worth your life.”


    “Liza, you should take care of yourself because if anything happens to your kidney, we might not easily get a donor and we won’t have to kill E just to donate herst kidney to you.”


    Henry said, pretending to show Liza a lot of concern.


    “Henry, call for the doctor to check on Liza to be sure she hasn’t endangered herself just now.” Elion ordered with a frown and Henry left immediately and returned with the Doctor.


    While they were still talking, a delivery person knocked on the door and entered with a food sk. He greeted Master Elion by bowing her head and turned towards E who is still going through so much pain and addressed her with a lot of pity. “Miss, I was asked to bring this food to you.”


    “Who sent the food?” Elion asked angrily.


    “Master Elion, I didn’t ask his name.” Replied the delivery person.


    “How dare you collect food from another man to give to someone’s wife?” Elion asked with so much jealousy in his voice.


    “Master Elion, you don’t have to bother about this slut, she must have contacted one of her boyfriends to…” Maya tried exining but was interrupted by E who was sweating profusely due to the pain she was going through.


    “Maya, so how exactly did I contact my boyfriend?”


    “So you are admitting you have a boyfriend?”


    Asked Elion which made E very angry.


    “Master Elion, if I had a boyfriend, do you think I wouldn’t have ran away?” She looked at Maya with so much disgust before talking. “And Maya, you haven’t answered my question, how exactly did I contact the boyfriend you just mentioned? I’ve never had a phone and I left the house yesterday without knowing I was going to donate my kidney to the soon to be Mrs. Elion. When I got here, after confirming that my kidney was healthy, I was dragged to the theatre like a sacrificialmb. And since the surgery, I’ve been lying on this bed. So, I think you should find out from Mrs. Elion or Mr. Elion and Henry who stayed by her throughout the night to ensure not even a flynds on her. Ask them if I had a chance to borrow a phone from the hospital or any of the staff. So how exactly did I contact my boyfriend? Maya, it’s all because of you and your lies that my husband hated me to the point that he sold me off.”


    “Can you shut up? Where is the lie? Even if she lied, where is this fooding from? Isn’t iting from one of your boyfriends?” Elion interrogated angrily and E was deeply hurt but chose to ignore all the hurtful words. She turned to the delivery person and pleaded with him to help her to eat since she couldn’t sit up straight to eat and this made Elion very furious. Instead of leaving, he sat down quietly and Henry stepped forward to inform him about the meeting in the office.


    “Master Elion, we should be on our way now because the board meeting is in 25 minutes…


    Cancel the meeting.”


    Elion said with eyes fixed on the floor but technically, he was staring at the delivery person with the corner of his left eye. Henry was surprised as to why he had decided to stay in the hospital but had no choice but to make a call to cancel the meeting.


    The delivery boy dished out enough nutritious soup and sat next to E on the bed. He took the first spoon and was about to feed E when Elion suddenly burst out in anger leaving everyone stunned.


    “Are you mad to think you can feed her in front of me?”


    “Elion, she is already used to being fed by other men and by the way, why should you be worried because she’s being fed by another man…” Liza was still acting like ady her husband had cheated on when Elion suddenly raised his voice at her , something he had never done before.


    “Liza, her husband, left her under my care.”


    “Oh I see, that’s right. It’s good you keep your eyes on her for the sake of her husband. But Elion you told me her husband sold her to you so you don’t need to bother about what she does.” Liza was still defending herself when Elion interrupted her angrily.


    “Liza, if you are fine then you should go home.”


    The delivery boy didn’t know what to do because he didn’t want to be on Elion’s bad side. He quietly ced the te of soup on top of the food sk and left in a hurry. E struggled to stand to no avail and The Butler did nothing to help her. Henry really wanted to help her but was scared of his boss. E looked at everyone with tears flowing uncontrobly from her eyes and shifted her gaze back to the te of soup.


    Elion really wanted to feed her but couldn’t due to the atmosphere and just when E thought all hope was gone, a nurse entered and went straight to her bed.

    “She’s just a nobody so you can’t address her with so much respect, and why is she pretending not to be strong? Liza was equally operated for the same purpose but she’s already walking up and down….” Maya tried talking down on E but was brutally interrupted by the nurse.


    “With all due respect Miss Madison, we respect all our patients here and secondly, someone that went through a kidney transnt justst night, can’t be walking up and down like you im. Again, E’s case is more critical because she just lost a kidney and it will take a long time for her body to adapt to the new development. Please Miss Madison, do not use ill words on patients because it might affect their mental health.”


    After lecturing Maya, she sat down on E’s bed and looking at the exposed soup, she picked it up and was going to throw it when E called out. “Ma’am, where are you going with it?”


    “The food has been exposed for a long time, E, so she needs to throw it away. You are really horrible.” Maya said mockingly.


    “Is that so? Between the food you and your family used to give me to eat and this one, which can be considered as more exposed? Didn’t you people know that a human is not supposed to eat exposed food when you were busy leaving food for two days exposed in the kitchen before you hand it to me to eat? Throughout my stay in your house since when I was a baby till I left months ago, is there any day you people ever gave me fresh food? I was the one doing the cooking but if there was no stale food in the house, your mother and you wouldn’t give me food no matter how much there was fresh food in the house and now, all of a sudden, you are lecturing me on what and what not to eat?”


    “Are you now talking back at me?” Asked Maya angrily.


    “Maya, I used to be quiet before but after this surgeryst night and the way I’ve been treated by everyone after the surgery, I’vee to realise that I can die at any time but before that timees, I will fight for myself. I will fight till myst breath. By the way, since you want to teach me ethics, isn’t it ethical for you to respect your elders? Maya you are just 19 years and I am 26 years old so you should respect me if not for anything, at least for my age. You like looking down on me because I have no one to defend me. If your parents had told me where my parents are, I wouldn’t have gone through all that I’ve gone through.”


    E’s words shocked everyone including Elion who was hearing all these for the first time.
