At the vi, Liza stared in disbelief at the breaking news headline. The photo showed Marion with another woman in a hotel room.

    Liza rushed to him, pointing at her phone. "Is this true? Or is someone framing Marion?"


    She had seen Marion and Debra''s love firsthand.

    She believed in Marion''s love for Debra and trusted Debra''s judgment.

    Liza looked at him suspiciously. "For real? Just a few days ago, you wouldn''t even let me out of the house." Fermin had been recovering from the gunshot wound. Though not fatal, it was severe.


    "Are you doubting me? That hurts," Fermin joked. "If you''re so worried, I''d give you a day off. You can check on them ande back on time. Orkgate isn''t safe, so just one day."


    Liza wanted to argue, but Fermin was firm. "If you don''te back, I''ll send someone to get you. You know I mean it."


    Liza knew better than to push her luck. "One day it is."


    Fermin smiled, knowing she was thrilled to escape his watchful eye. "Go pack. I''ll have someone take you to Orkgate. Be sure toe back safe and sound tomorrow."


    Liza nodded. "Don''t worry. I won''t get lost."


    "If you do, Debra will answer for it and pay with her life," he warned.
