Chapter 569

But when Eden walked out of the police station, he was covered in a cold sweat, his face pale.

"Mr. Monroe." His assistant hurried over, asking with concern, "Mr. Monroe, are you alright?"

"I''m fine," Eden said, his face cold as he got into the car.

"Mr. Monroe, are we heading back to the office?" the driver asked, looking back at him.

Eden leaned his head against the back of the seat, his face drained of all color. He barely moved his lips as he said, "To Rose Manor."

Rose Manor was where Vincent''s cousin, Tim, lived.

The vi was sovishly decorated it was as if money had been stered on the walls.

Tim was sitting on arge leather sofa in the living room, sipping coffee, when he saw Eden storm in.

"Tim, was the kidnapping at the Riverbend property your doing?!" Eden grabbed Tim by the cor, yanking him right off the sofa.

Tim was caught off guard, and even the cup in his hand smashed to the floor.

"Mr. Monroe, no need to be so worked up. Here, have some coffee to cool down." Tim patted the hand gripping his cor.

Eden let go, but his face was still contorted with rage. He raised a hand and pointed at Tim''s nose, demanding, "That case was it you or not?"

“If I said it wasn''t, would you believe me?" Tim straightened the wrinkled cor of his shirt.

"You maniacs! Aren''t you just smugglers? Why did you have to kill them!" Eden''s face was ghastly. He had thought he was so clever, that he had everything under control, but reality was clearly far different from what he''d imagined.

He thought he was the one ying the game, but it turned out he was just a pawn being moved by someone else.

"Can''t you be a little smarter? That stupid TV crew, trying to suck up to the Thompson family, made a huge fuss about it. With so many people around how were we supposed to conduct our business? We had to find a way to clear the area."

Tim pushed his pointing hand away, smoothed out his clothes, and sat back down

on the sofa, telling a servant to bring two more cups of coffee.

"Try this. It''s great. Not bad at all. It''ll cool you down. Let''s talk things over slowly. Young people shouldn''t be so hot-headed."

After speaking, Tim settled back onto the sofa, lookingpletely at ease.

“It''s a murder case! Don''t you know the police have already questioned me!” Eden roared.

    "The crime happened on your

property. It''s perfectly normal for the

police to question you It''s just a

routine inquiry. What are you so nervous about?."

With that, Tim leaned over, picked up the cup from the coffee table, and took a sip.

Eden picked up his cup too, and then smashed it violently onto the floor.

The cup shattered on impact, sending shards flying everywhere.

Tim couldn''t help but frown, his gaze turning icy.

Eden pointed at Tim''s nose again and said viciously, "I''m warning you, none of your dirty business can have anything to do with me. Otherwise if something happens to me, the Thompson family will never let you off  s?novels

After delivering his threat, Eden turned and stormed out.

Tim nced down at the floor, where a few shards hadnded by his feet.

Tim kicked at them fiercely, then ordered a servant to clean up the floor.

As the servant quietly cleaned up the mess, Tim stood up, stepped over the scattered fragments, and headed upstairs.

He went to his room, took out his phone, and dialed Vincent''s number.
