She looked up and saw Sebastian and Joanna across the way. Why were these two like ghosts she couldn''t shake?
Sebastian''s eyes filled with rage as he watched Natalieughing and talking with Marshall. He red at her.
Natalie, however, avoided his icy gaze. How could she run into them even when she came all the way out here for dinner?
What a twisted fate.
Joanna clung to Sebastian''s arm, her smile gentle. "Natalie, Mr. Spencer, what a coincidence. Since fate brought us together, why don''t we have dinner together?"
Marshall scowled, his handsome face filled with disdain. "Sorry," he said mockingly, "we already have a reservation."
"We could share a table! Are you nning to have dinner here? Their food is amazing. It''s a famous spot for influencers. We couldn''t get a reservation, so how about we join you?" Joanna suggested with a smile.
"Tsk. Joanna, you''ve got some nerve. I might know you, but we''re not friends. Sharing a table with you would just make me sick," Marshall never minced words with Joanna.
"Mr. Spencer, don''t be rude. We''re all respectable people.....”
"You might be, but I''m not taking any chances. I can''t be seen eating with you. What if Mr. Wilson found out and held it against me? That old man is treacherous. A man like Sebastian can handle him, but I can''t. So, we won''t interrupt you two-the mistress and the scumbag-on your date."
Joanna stomped her foot in frustration. “Marshall, watch your mouth! The one who isn''t loved is the third wheel. Sebastian and I are in love. Natalie is the one who came between us."
“But Natalie already stepped aside for you. What more do you want? You people are worse than vampires, alwaystching onto her and never letting go." With that, Marshall took Natalie''s arm and led her away.
Joanna stared daggers at Natalie''s back, wishing she could burn a hole right through it.
"Sebastian, look at her! Now that she
has Marshall backing her up, she doesnt even respect you anymore. unting herself with other menun public. She''s so shameless
“And you, sticking to me every day, wanting to have dinner with me. Is that not shameless?" Sebastian shot back, a wicked smile ying on his lips.
Joanna froze. "Sebastian, what do you mean by that?"
"Nothing,” he said, his expression unreadable.
Joanna saw his passive-aggressive attitude and her eyes filled with tears.
"Sebastian, we''re the ones who are truly in love..."
Sebastianughed coldly. "Truly in love? Then where were youst night? It seems
Robert is quite good, if he left you wanting more."
“Sebastian!” Joanna was utterly shocked. How did he know again?
"Are you having me followed?"
Sebastian''s smile was yful, but his tone was ice-cold. "I wouldn''t go that far. You were just careless, and someone with a camera happened to see you content
"I''m out with you tonight to help you generate buzz for the movie. If you mess up my investment, I will take back every single thing we ever
given you."
"I have records of every transfer.”
“Joanna, I''ve warned you not to test my limits. You''ve known me since we were kids.
You know I''ve never been a kind guy."
