Chapter 647

She fastened her seatbelt and said to Luna, "Let''s go home."

Luna nced at her. "The day''s almost over. Are you still upset?”

Natalie wasn''t particrly upset anymore. Nathan was getting what he deserved, and she was doing just fine. "It''s nothing. Let''s go. I''m not upset, it''s just that Owen still won''t talk to me."

    "Oh," Luna said.

Just as she was about to pull away, Natalie''s phone rang.

She picked it up and saw Marshall''s name.

"Marshall," she said with a smile.

“Natalie, you''re back. I know you''re done with work, and I''d like to take you to dinner," Marshall''s voice was cheerful.

Natalie looked out the window and saw Marshall''s car parked across the street.

He grinned and waved. "Natalie, over here!"

Natalieughed. “Alright. Send me the address, and I''ll have Luna drive me over."

    "Okay!"

She hung up with a smile, and a momentter, Marshall''s message arrived.

Natalie forwarded the address to Luna.

Luna started the car and followed his. Marshall had perfect timing. Natalie was in a bad mood, and somepany would probably do her good.

Marshall had chosen a ce quite far away, near the city''s broadcast center. With rush hour traffic, it took them forty minutes to get there.

After getting out of the car, Natalie slipped on her ck overcoat. Underneath, she wore a sharp ck business suit that gave her apetent air.

She walked through the snow toward the entrance, where Marshall was already waiting for her.

When he saw her, he quickly pulled back the heavy curtain at the door.

"Natalie, traffic was bad. Are you hungry?" he asked with a smile.

Marshall was dressed maturely today in ck trousers, a ck shirt, and a ck wool overcoat that made him look particrly poised.

It was the first time Natalie had seen him like this. He had the aura of a powerful CEO.

    "Marshall, you look different today."

Marshall noticed her appraisal and his ears turned red. He gave a slightly sheepish smile. He had deliberately dressed to look more mature.

He didn''t usually like formal wear, preferring a more casual style.

"Natalie, do you like me dressed like this?"

Natalie pursed her lips and shook her head honestly. "It''s very mature, but I think I prefer your old style."

In the modern workce, things weren''t so formal anymore.

Unless it was a major event, most people dressed casually.

Marshall''s smiling eyes were full of warmth. "I just wanted to dress a bit more maturely. I didn''t think you wouldn''t like it."

Natalie paused, realizing he had dressed this way for her. She didn''t dwell on it. "Maturity isn''t about what are we

you wear. Come on, where a

    eating?"

    Marshall mumbled, "Right here..."

His voice was too low for Natalie to hear.

He jogged to catch up with her, smiling, "Natalie, we''re going to the sixth floor. There''s a restaurant. there. I made a reservation, and we''re just in time."

    "Okay."

Still, she preferred his roguishly handsome, youthful look.

The two took the elevator to the sixth floor. The atmosphere was great, with

restaurant staff handing out flyers at the entrance.

The ce was buzzing with energy. Natalie liked ces like this—noisy, but they made her feel alive.

"Well, well Natalie. Out to dinner

with Mr. Spencer again." The cloying

    voice made Natalie''s recently,

    calmed mod instantly

    again.
