Chapter 811

    ?Chapter 811:

Moises stepped in again, his voice calm but pointed. “Elena was my student. I invited her to the lecture. Are you still nning to have her removed?”

“No! Absolutely not!” Mylo broke into a nervous sweat, stumbling over his words in an effort to reassure. “I will… You have my word, Professor Haywood. We’d never do anything like that.”

With the lecture moments away from starting, Moises, being famously punctual, didn’t linger. “I’ll head in to prepare. Elena, I’ll be more than thrilled if you attend my lecture.” With that, Moises walked off.

Mylo quickly pulled Susanna aside, and the crowd dispersed, hurrying to find their seats.

Meanwhile, Ellis had just parked the car and joined Elena to attend Moises’s lecture.

At the same time, Sylvia had juste across a trending post about Elena showing up at the University, and now she was racing over, reporters following closely behind. Finally, she had something to use against Elena, and she was ready to strike.

After months of hardship, Sylvia still hadn’t learned to behave well or turn over a new leaf. If anything, her resentment toward Elena had only deepened. She and her mother were barely getting by in a rundown house, yet Elena was living in a luxurious vi, dining on gourmet meals, and spending without concern.

With each passing day, Sylvia’s jealousy grew more poisonous, edging dangerously close to obsession. She wanted Elena humiliated, cast out by the Harper family, and dragged down into the same bleak life she had been forced to endure.

Too eager to wait, Sylvia didn’t even bother reading the full post before grabbing a group of reporters and rushing to the university. She barged into Moises’s lecture hall, her dramatic entrance pulling every pair of eyes in the room.

Sylvia’s gaze swept across the hall, and when itnded on Elena, something cruel shed behind her expression. “Sorry for the interruption, everyone. I’m just here to find Elena.”

Cameras clicked behind Sylvia as the reporters pushed forward, fueling the chaos.

The students of the, always quick totch onto gossip, began murmuring with interest.

“She looks just like that streamer—Sylvia Reed, isn’t it?”

“It is! And she’s rted to Lena!”

“No way, are we about to witness real-life drama unfold right in front of us?”

With dozens of curious eyes fixed on them, Sylvia stepped forward at a deliberate pace, heading straight for Elena. “Elena, so many people online have been asking me to talk to you, but you blocked my number, so I couldn’t reach out. I only found you because someone posted that you’re at the University today. You aren’t upset with me, are you?” That syrupy, false sweetness in her voice was unmistakable.

Had it not been for Sylvia’s recent chaos, Elena might have forgotten the Reed family even existed. She looked up, her expression calm and detached, catching the sharp glint of malice behind Sylvia’s eyes.

It was obvious Sylvia had timed this perfectly, showing up right before the lecture to humiliate Elena in public. She wanted to expose Elena as someone who’d never set foot in a university ssroom, to brand her as a fraud and a thief.
