?Chapter 812:
“You’re awfully quiet, Elena. Feeling guilty?” Sylvia pressed.
A softugh escaped Elena, her lips curving into a slow smile. “Not in the slightest. What is it you want to ask?”
Sylvia’s expression shifted, feeling victory was just within reach. Elena was such an idiot. She had no clue what wasing.
With a gleam of spite in her eyes, Sylvia leaned in. “Everyone’s dying to know—why didn’t you go to college? Was it simply because you didn’t like it?”
Sylvia couldn’t hide the self-satisfied glint in her eyes, convinced she had finally hit a sore spot. In her mind, Elena was about to face public humiliation.
Yet, the atmosphere shifted. The room fell awkwardly silent as all eyes turned toward Sylvia with confusion and disbelief. What nonsense had she just spouted? How ridiculous! She must havepletely lost her senses. Even more puzzling was the contradiction—Sylvia had introduced herself as being close to Elena, no less! Shouldn’t she know the most basic facts about Elena’s graduation from Imperial University? Anyone who had paid the slightest attention to Sylvia’s live stream would have caught on. If Sylvia were really close to Elena, how could she not know that Elena was an elite student at Imperial University? Doubt spread like wildfire. Was Sylvia truly rted to Elena, or was she feeding lies to the audience on purpose?
On stage, Moises—already frustrated by earlier disruptions—looked downright exasperated. Another voice. More nonsense. Did no one from the University know how to fact-check?
Though Moises held hisposure, irritation flickered across his face. In a clipped tone, he said to Sylvia, “Miss, please be aware—this is an academic forum, not a stage for fabrications and gossip.”
Sylvia, unaware of Moises’s identity, assumed he was just another faculty member from the University. “You’ve got it all wrong. I’m not lying. Elena really didn’t go to any university.”
“Wouldn’t I know whether she went to college or not?” Moises finally lost hisposure.

Moises was not the type to bottle up his emotions, especially when someone tarnished the reputation of his students. “I teach at Imperial University. Elena is one of my students. I can assure you that not only did she attend the university, but she also holds the record as the youngest doctoral graduate in the history of Imperial University and is one of our most esteemed alumni. A quick look at the admissions page would have shown you her picture. It’s public knowledge.”
Sylvia blinked, clearly clueless. Having never studied abroad, she had no idea what Imperial University even was. Turning to the camera with a scoff, she muttered, “Imperial University? Who’s ever heard of that? Sounds like one of those ces where anyone with money can buy a diploma.”
Facing Elena directly, Sylvia narrowed her eyes. “You really went all out, didn’t you? Not only did you skip college, but now you’re parading around with some fake diploma from who-knows-where—and even brought in a paid actor to y the professor.”
Sylvia covered her mouth as she spoke the words “who-knows-where,” herughterced with sharp mockery.
Moises nearly rolled his eyes, exasperation creeping into his every breath. How could someone be this oblivious? She didn’t even know what Imperial University was.
Around the room, students from the University stood frozen, pletely speechless. The idea that Imperial University was branded as “who-knows-where” sounded like a bad joke. If it were really possible to buy a diploma from Imperial University, they’d want one too!
