?Chapter 762:
“Don’t let her escape,” Earle said calmly.
A dozen guns were suddenly pointed at Elena.
Earle narrowed his eyes. “Hold your fire! I want her alive.”
Bang! Bang! Bang! Elena quickly fired three shots, one after the other. While shooting, she stepped back and jumped out the window. She didn’t have much ammo, so she had no time to waste.
In just a few seconds, she nned her escape route in her head. She quickly opened the door of an unlocked car, hit the gas pedal, and drove fast toward the airport.
Earle was right behind her, chasing closely.
Elena looked in the rearview mirror and saw two cars chasing her, one on each side. As she reached the next intersection, she turned quickly and drove onto a narrow road.
One of the cars didn’t turn fast enough and almost hit the guardrail. The other ck car kept chasing her.
Her eyes were sharp and focused. If they wanted to chase her, she was ready to fight back. She kept her speed steady as the road twisted and turned.
The ck car kept following her without slowing down.
When she saw the road was ending, she quickly turned the steering wheel and changed direction.
The ck car noticed toote that the road ended and couldn’t stop in time.
The front of the car hit hard with a loud crash, kicking up a cloud of dust. Thick ck smoke rose from the car. Its tires kept spinning and made a loud screech against the ground.
The people inside jumped out and shot at Elena’s car tires.
Four shots rang out—Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!—but only one hit the back door. The rest missed.
Elena changed gears, mmed her foot down, and sped away. After losing the ones chasing her, she let her shoulders drop and leaned back in the seat.

Holding the steering wheel with one hand, she used her phone with the other to book the next flight. It would leave in an hour.
She drove out from the side road and raced down the highway as fast as she could. A trip that normally took two hours, she finished in only thirty minutes.
She parked the car in the lot and left some cash on the seat to make up for taking it.
She was still in her bright red dress and felt the cold night air bite at her skin, making her arms turn red.
With only half an hour before boarding, she didn’t have time to change, so she grabbed a ck trench coat from an airport shop to cover herself up.
Blending with the crowd, she boarded the flight back to the. Meanwhile, Earle listened to his subordinate’s report, his eyes cold and sharp. He kicked the subordinate. “You’re fucking useless.”
The subordinate stayed kneeling on the ground, not daring to say a word.
“Mr. Miller, she’s already on the ne to the,” the subordinate said. “If we stop her now, it’ll definitely tip off the National Security Bureau.”
Earle looked up at the sky. It was a deep night, the skypletely ck, with only the asional ne light twinkling like a faraway star. He silently whispered Elena’s name. They’d meet again soon…
When the nended at the Airport, Elena was back in the. She took a cab back to Hillside Manor.
