    Fannie let go of Elena and sneered at Evelyn. “I’m Fannie Ellsworth. What did you just say? This doesn’t look like a wedding dress? Newssh, honey, why does a wedding dress have to be some boring, traditional crap? You’ve got zero imagination.”


    At this, Evelyn’s eyes bugged out in disbelief. How could Fannie actually like what Elena did? This had to be some kind of sick joke! Evelyn waspletely dumbfounded. “Ms. Ellsworth, she changed your design without even asking! Aren’t you furious?”


    “Furious? Why would I be?” Fannie tilted her head, raising a perfectly sculpted eyebrow. “I’m over the moon! The fact that my mentor is willing to modify my design shows that she values me. What would you even know about that?”


    “Mentor?” Evelyn sputtered,pletely losing it. How could Fannie call Elena her mentor? “Ms. Ellsworth, you must be confused! How could she be your mentor?”


    Fannie ripped into her without a shred of pity. “How could I possibly mistake my own mentor? Do you honestly think everyone else is as clueless as you are?”


    Fannie had heard enough of this. This woman was disrespecting her mentor’s work right to her face. How blind could someone be to trash her mentor’s designs? Her mentor’s creations were lusted after worldwide, and despite the generous offers, her mentor had turned down mostmissions. Yet, this woman had the nerve to criticize. What a joke!


    “You may not like the dress, but someone else will,” Fannie said. “The original design was fancy but boring. But after my mentor changed it, it became lively and free. Marriage shouldn’t be the end of love. It should be the start of a new, free life!”


    Fannieplimented Elena without holding back and then winked at her secretly.

    Elena knew that Fannie was trying to help her release her anger.
