Chapter 1075

    ?Chapter 1075:

yton exhaled a defeated sigh, his hands spreading in a gesture of resignation. “I recognize the chances of sess are minuscule, but we currentlyck viable alternatives. We must make the attempt; fortune might unexpectedly favor us.”

Just as he finished speaking, Jett’s voice cut through the air from beyond the doorway.

    “I don’t agree!”

    Makenna’s POV:

Jett marched forward with determination etched across his features.

Fatigue shadowed his eyes, suggesting sleepless nights devoted to crafting the antidote.

The instant I saw him, I bolted upright and rushed toward him, my pace quickening with each anxious step. “Jett, what news of the antidote? Have you made any breakthrough?”

With a defeated shake of his head, Jett massaged his temples and responded, his voice hollow with disappointment, “It’s impossible. This antidote is extraordinarily rare. I’ve excavated every ancient tome and manuscript, attempted countless formtions, but the solution remains elusive.”

His words struck me like a physical blow, draining all hope from my heart.

My voice quavered as despair washed over me. “Are we condemned to watch helplessly as more perish? With Marehelm’s water tainted, what hope remains for the survivors?”

In that moment, yton rose abruptly to his feet.

Displeasure darkened his features as he fixed Jett with an icy stare, his voice edged with challenge. “Why do you reject my proposal, Jett? Have you conceived a better alternative?”

Jett replied with measuredposure, “This isn’t personal. The Wizard n’s royal lineage is infamous for their cruelty and treachery. They’ve perpetually viewed werewolves as vermin. They would celebrate our extinction rather than offer salvation.”

Bryan, who had been sitting with his face buried in his hands, leapt to his feet upon hearing Jett’s response. Frustration drove him to pace the room in agitated strides. “This n won’t work, and that approach is impossible. What options do we have left? Are we supposed to just wait here helplessly while people suffer and die?”

Dominic remained collected amidst the tension. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he studied Jett with growing suspicion.

After a moment of careful consideration, he rose slowly and addressed Jett directly. “Tell me honestly, Jett. Is crafting this antidote truly beyond your abilities, or is there something else you’re not telling us?”

Tension hung in the air like a thundercloud, the atmosphere crackling with hostility.

The three princes red at Jett, their eyes zing with undisguised animosity.

Jett maintained hisposure, lifting his chin slightly as he spoke with cial detachment. “Believe what you will. I’m merely stating facts. Approaching the Wizard n would be an exercise in futility and a humiliation we cannot afford.”

His tone remained unyielding, seemingly impervious to the mounting tension surrounding him.

Bryan could no longer contain his fury at Jett’s apparent indifference. Rage contorted his features, veins bulging prominently across his forehead.

He advanced a menacing step, muscles coiling in preparation to lunge at Jett.
