?Chapter 1011:
With a defeated gesture, Evelyn shook her head. “I don’t know anything else.”
Time slipped through my fingers like sand, and I could waste no more on her fruitless interrogation. “Take them away,” Imanded my aides with lethal calm. “Ensure they understand the consequences of opposing me!”
My men sprang forward with practiced efficiency, seizing Evelyn and Jenny with merciless grips.
“Mr. Harrison… have mercy on us… ah…” Evelyn’s desperate pleas dissolved into agonized screams as they dragged her from my sight.
Having settled their fate, I pivoted to therger threat, mobilizing my forces to encircle Marehelm under cover of darkness. As a precaution, I dispatched surveince on Makenna herself—her capture would provide perfect leverage against the three princes.

“Cody, you cunning and despicable man!” Makenna spat, fury zing in her eyes asprehension of my scheme dawned on her.
Rage darkened my features like a thundercloud. In three swift strides, I closed the distance between us, my hand arcing through the air to connect with her face in a resounding crack.
The sound reverberated through the cell like a gunshot.
“Speak again,” I hissed through clenched teeth, “and I’ll end your life this instant.”
The force of my blow snapped Makenna’s head sideways, an angry red welt rising on her cheek as crimson bloomed at the corner of her mouth.
Yet she defiantly turned back to face me, her unyielding gaze burning with hatred as she stared directly into my eyes.
Something stirred within me as I met her defiant stare.

Those eyes reminded me of Josie, the Saint from years ago.
Josie had once red at me with the same defiant gaze.
My eyes narrowed with suspicion. With a quick gesture, I ordered someone to fetch the appearance-restoring potion, and then approached Makenna with measured steps.
Without ceremony, I sshed the liquid across her face, watching intently as the magical concoction took effect.
Slowly, Makenna’s disguise melted away like morning mist, revealing her true features beneath. Though undeniably beautiful, her unveiled countenance bore no resemnce…
To the Saint I remembered. Had my mind conjured connections where none existed? Was the shadow of Josie merely a phantom of my imagination?
Dismissing the unsettling thoughts, I hardened my expression once more. “The n begins now,” I announced to my aides. “Keep this woman under constant surveince. Should she escape, your lives are forfeit.”
Jett’s POV:
At dawn, I got up, freshened up, and made my way to Makenna’s room. “Are you awake, Makenna? Breakfast is ready.” I knocked lightly on the door, but silence greeted me from the other side.
She was never one to stay in bedte. By now, she should have been up. I lingered for a moment, listening for any sign of movement. Still, nothing.
Knocking again, I raised my voice. “Makenna?”
