Chapter 1010:
Without warning, her demeanor shifted dramatically—her body seized in violent spasms, and her face twisted into a mask of pure anguish as a feeble moan escaped her lips.
rmed by this unexpected development, I whirled toward the semi-conscious Jenny. “What’s happening to her?” I demanded.
Cowering beneath my intense re, Jenny’s voice emerged as barely a whisper. “She… she’s been poisoned…”
“Poisoned?”
My brow furrowed in confusion, but before I could press further, I noticed Jenny’splexion draining of color, her hands clutching desperately at her abdomen.
As I studied their symptoms with growing concern, a disturbing possibility dawned on me.
This situation before me echoed descriptions I’d once heard from the royal members of the Wizard n.
Cody’s POV:
Dread coursed through my veins like ice water.
Pivoting sharply, I fixed my aide with a prating stare. “Investigate the nature of this poison immediately!”
With a curt nod, the aide vanished from the room.
Momentster, he burst back through the doorway, his face ashen and breath ragged as he delivered his findings. “Mr. Harrison, the doctor confirms that Evelyn and Jenny have ingested a secret potion from the Wizard n’s royal lineage. Once consumed, betrayal of the potion’s creator results in cardiac rupture and inevitable death.”
Despite my prior suspicions, the confirmation struck me like a physical blow.

“How did Evelyn and Jenny end up with such a potion? Who would have ess to such power?” I muttered, my thoughts spiraling in chaotic patterns.
Collecting myself quickly, I strode to my study and drafted an urgent missive to the Wizard n’s eldest prince. The antidote arrived with remarkable speed.
Back in the basement, I found Evelyn and Jenny sprawled across the floor, hovering at the edge of consciousness. I immediately ordered the antidote administered to both.
“Evelyn, what exactly happened?” I demanded coldly, watching as she swallowed the life-saving liquid.
“It was… Makenna,” she gasped betweenbored breaths. “Ailyn is actually Makenna…” Her trembling voice gained strength as she revealed the full deception.
“What!” Shock and fury exploded within me. “That damned Ailyn is Makenna?”
Evelyn’s head bobbed in confirmation, hatred flickering behind her eyes. “Yes, and Makenna’s supposed husband administered the potion. He… he must be a wizard… he’s the one who bound us with this curse…”
My brow furrowed deeply as rage bubbled beneath my controlled exterior, my mind racing with implications.
Someone possessing such a rare potion surely transcended ordinary wizardry. What could his true intentions be?
“What is that man’s true identity?” I pressed Evelyn further.
