?Chapter 749:
Bryan then took a menacing step forward and coldly said, “Didn’t you adamantly deny having anything to do with that man before? Why are you running away with him?”
I opened my mouth to exin but quickly shut it. Their endless, baseless usations and constant harassment ignited a burning fury within me. My eyes narrowed, and I coldly retorted, “My affairs are none of your business!”
Jett and Grace chose that moment to step in front of me protectively.
“How did you find us?” Grace asked as she took a fighting stance.
“We followed you, of course. If it weren’t for the trail left by you, we would’ve never found this ce. We really should thank you,” Dominic said with a smirk.
“You’re despicable!” Grace shot back, her body trembling with rage.
yton chose that moment to step forward and say, “Hand over Makenna now or suffer the consequences.”
“I will not let her go with you. Besides, it seems she doesn’t want to go with you, either,” Jett said.
Jett’s words seemed to cut the three princes deeply, and their expressions darkened even further in anger.
“This is yourst chance, Makenna! Give yourself up!” Bryan screamed, veins bulging out of his forehead in anger.
I stepped out from behind Grace and Jett and locked gazes with Bryan. With a voice as clear as a bell, I said, “I will never go with you. I’m not some ything you can control nor a pet you keep locked up.”
“In that case, do not expect mercy from us,” Dominic said, his eyes cold like two cier pools.
This signaled the end of negotiations, and the soldiers behind them stepped forward, ready for war.

yton pointed at me and said, “She is to be captured alive. The others may be captured dead or alive. I care not which.”
Makenna’s POV:
The soldiers, upon hearing yton’s words, transformed into a pack of wolves, each with different fur colors and fierce eyes. They snarled viciously and then charged at us.
Jett and Grace stood back to back, adopting a defensive stance. They protected me while engaging the soldiers inbat.
Throughout the battle, multiple soldiers made a beeline for me, trying to capture me.
Jett moved as though he had eyes at the back of his head. He drew a small vial and threw it at the soldiers running toward me.
“Watch out for that potion!” Bryan screamed in warning. He had been affected by the magic potion before and knew what it was capable of. However, his warning came a little toote.
The vial shattered, releasing a pungent odor. All the soldiers who inhaled it immediately swayed and fell unconscious to the ground.
The enemy, however, was just too many. No matter how skilled Jett and Grace were, they didn’t have the strength to fend off a constant wave of soldiers.
Soon, Jett and Grace’s breath began to grow heavy, and their movements slowed.
Grace, already injured, was barely standing. Sweat soaked her clothes, her hair clung to her pale face, and her steps faltered.
