Chapter 742

    ?Chapter 742:

I turned sharply, realizing that at some point, both Bryan and Dominic had silently materialized at the doorway.

Bryan’s tall frame leanedzily against the doorframe, a mocking smile curling his lips, his eyes brimming with contempt as he regarded yton. Dominic’s expression was stoic, his gaze a mix of concern and something darker as it settled on me.

In my anger, my breath came in sharp, ragged gasps. I roughly wiped the remaining tears from my face, ring at them with clenched teeth. “What exactly do you want?”

Bryan raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing sharper, his voiceced with cruelty. “Can’t you see? We want you to stay here forever, to be ours, and ours alone.”

My legs faltered beneath me, and I let out a desperate scream. “No! What gives you the right to do this?”

Dominic stepped closer, his grip firm yet steady on my wrist. His voice was calm, almost eerily so. “I suggest you stop struggling. It’ll only hurt you more and change nothing. Stay here quietly, and things might just be easier for you.”

    Makenna’s POV:

After they finished talking, the three princes left without looking back.

“No! You can’t do this to me.”

I tried to run away, but the servants gripped me tightly on both sides, while the rest began to clean up the room, paying no heed to my cries.

The room was quickly organized, and only then did the servants release me, exiting the room one after the other, and locking the door with a definitive nk.

“Let me out! Let me out!” I banged on the door furiously and screamed at the top of my lungs, but all I got was silence.

In that moment, I felt as if everything around me was crumbling. I copsed to the floor, feeling utterly defeated, and wept, covering my face with my hands.

    ???????????????? ????????????: g????????ν????????????

Why did things have to end up like this?

I cried until my voice grew hoarse, and eventually, I could do nothing but lie on the floor in despair. My gaze fixed on the ceiling while tears quietly rolled down my cheeks. I remained there, drained, until I finally shut my eyes and fell asleep.

When I opened them again, I was back in the familiarfort of my bed.

I understood immediately that they had carried me back. But I felt no thankfulness. My heart was overwhelmed with despair and indifference.

    Knock. Knock. Knock…

Suddenly, a series of knocks came on the door. On impulse, I pulled the nket over my head, hoping to hide from everything.

“I’m not eating!” I yelled, my voice muffled by the nket.

However, the door creaked open, and a soft, familiar voice sounded by my ear. “Miss, please try to eat something. It’s been too long, and your body can’t keep going like this without food.”

That voice… Why did it sound so familiar?

I paused, feeling that something wasn’t quite right. I then finally lowered the nket slowly and turned to look.

A young maid, dressed simply and looking quite in, entered with a tray of food. She went about arranging the dishes on the table.

“Please, eat a bit,” she urged softly and sincerely, looking up at me.

Under her gaze, I found myself inexplicably moving to the dining table.

Seeing this, the maid quickly picked up adle and served me a bowl of hot soup. “Start with some warm soup to heat up your stomach. Miss, this is your favorite soup. It’s really good for you,” she said as she passed me the bowl.
