    The bedroom door stayed open, and as Ellie came out, she felt a piercing stare. She instinctively looked towards the door.


    “The cook is out there,” May exined.


    Kaiden held back his eager gaze and asked quietly, “Do you want a midnight snack?”


    Ellie hadn’t intended to eat anything, but his offer made her a little hungry.


    “I’d like some spicy and sour noodles,” she said.


    Kaiden was taken aback.

    Ellie then added, “We probably don’t have the ingredients here. Could you please go out and buy spicy and sour noodles from the store?”


    “Which store?” Kaiden asked, relieved that she wanted something to eat.


    Ellie provided the name and address of the store.


    “Wow, this cook is really thoughtful, even asking which store I prefer. Looks like his partner has done a good job training him!” Ellie thought to herself. He was nothing like Kaiden, who would just randomly pick up a milkshake for her.


    As she thought about this, her smile faltered, and her expression grew sad. The store Ellie wanted was close by, and with Kaiden’s sports car, it was a quick trip.


    The spicy and sour noodles looked incredibly tempting.


    At the dining table, Ellie and Kaiden sat across from each other under the soft restaurant lights, creating a warm and cozy scene.


    The two of them, both good-looking, seemed like a perfect match. If it weren’t for professional standards, May would have wanted to snap a picture of them with her phone.


    Kaiden made an effort to keep his gaze restrained, staying in the background to avoid drawing Ellie’s attention.
