    “Miss Singh, take that puppy to the pet hospital,” Levy instructed the secretary who had just entered the vehicle. Flossie stared at Levy in surprise.

    Amy exited the car, scooped up the puppy, and hailed a taxi to the animal hospital.


    “Are you relieved now?” Levy asked Flossie, his face drained of color from the pain. He could see right away that she was concerned about the puppy.


    “Please avoid talking,” the doctor conducting Levy’s urgent examination expressed his displeasure. Turning to Flossie, he added, “Please sit down and do not speak to the patient for the time being.”


    Flossie was left speechless as she also received a scolding.


    While Flossie anxiously waited outside the consulting room, Theo approached purposefully.


    “Dr. Stephens?” She immediately understood Theo’s reason for being there. Gesturing towards a consulting room, she informed him, “Mr. Sanders is being examined in there.”


    This hospital was also under the Stephens family’s ownership. Given Levy’s serious injury, someone had informed Theo. Theo nodded and entered the consulting room.

If the dog hadnded on your head, you could have suffered a serious concussion. Or if it had injured your spine, you could have been paralyzed.” The situation was quite serious.


    Levy’s main injury was a severe fracture in his right hand, with pulled muscles in his shoulder and neck. Surgery would be scheduled soon. His right hand was badly twisted, with dislocated bones inside, and some muscles in his shoulder and neck were swollen.


    “Where is she? Did you see her when you came in?” Levy inquired of Theo.


    “Who are you referring to?” Theo frowned, not understanding his sudden question.


    “Flossie.”
