Chapter 875

    ?Chapter 875:

Learning that Kristopher was no longer in peril brought Ellie a sense of peace.

She gradually fell asleep in Kaiden’s arms.

Kaiden eased himself up and reached for his phone by the bed.

A message from Jerome caught his eye. “Kaiden, if Ellie had grown up with the Lamberts, she’d still end up as your wife. You two are meant to be!” Kaiden couldn’t help but smile.

Indeed, it seemed fate had always intended for him and Ellie to be together.

The Thorpe and Lambert families were supposed to be united through marriage, and Ellie was younger than Carole, making it unlikely for Leo to be attracted to Ellie.

If Ellie had grown up with the Lambert family, Kaiden would have known her since they were kids. Although Ellie was lost by the Lambert family and adopted by the Gordons, she ended up marrying Kaiden by chance. It seemed like fate.

With this thought, Kaiden leaned in and softly kissed Ellie’s cheek. He murmured, “Honey, you’re mine.”

Ellie felt a tickle and scrunched her face, yet she didn’t move away. Even in her sleep, she recognized Kaiden’s scent and touch, trusting him deeply and instinctively leaning on him.

“You’re mine, Ellie, you know that?” he whispered, even though he knew she couldn’t hear him, lost in his thoughts.

The next morning, Ellie woke up feeling nauseous again. After throwing up in the bathroom, she rested on the couch, feeling ufortable because of her morning sickness.

“If you don’t calm down, you might get a spanking,” Kaiden jokingly warned their unborn child, cing his hand on Ellie’s belly.

“He can’t hear you yet,” Ellie said with a chuckle, finding Kaiden’s seriousness amusing.

Kaiden replied, “It doesn’t matter if he can hear me or not when ites to a spanking.”

Ellie was at a loss for words. She protectively ced her hands over her belly, giving Kaiden a determined look to safeguard her baby.

Knowing Ellie’s pregnancy limited her diet, Kaiden had reserved a private room and prepared her favorite dishes.

The Lambert siblings rose early that day. They had already eaten breakfast before visiting Ellie, so they watched with curiosity as she ate hers. Ellie found herself at a loss for words again. Having others watch her eat made her ufortable.

“Are our parents buried in Estoqua? I’d like to ce flowers on their graves, if that’s alright,” Ellie inquired.

Her words took the Lambert siblings by surprise. Glenn was the first to find his voice. “Absolutely! Dad and mom would be overjoyed. The cemetery’s in Annd. I’ll book a private ne this instant!” Katharine, after a nce at Ellie’s pregnant form, raised a concern. “You’re still pregnant. Wouldn’t you prefer to wait until after the baby’s born?”

Ellie shook her head, dismissing the concern. “Don’t worry about me. I can manage.”

Daniel let out a relieved breath and agreed, “Dad and Mom would be thrilled to know that we found you and that you’re expecting a baby!” Before setting out, Ellie nned one more visit to see Kristopher.
