?Chapter 802:
He recalled that Kristopher’s photos of Ellie were taken several years ago, hinting that he had known her for quite some time. Suddenly, he grasped Glenn’s insinuation. The air grew thick.
“I’ve looked into Kristopher extensively. There’s nothing to be concerned about,” Kaiden dered.
Glenn responded with a skeptical sneer, nodding. He believed that the investigation Kaiden had conducted was not thorough enough and therefore decided to look into Kristopher himself. He resolved to delve deeper into the Lambert family’swork and investigate any potential connections they might have with Kristopher.
After the Lambert siblings had departed, Bruce, puzzled, approached Kaiden. “Mr. Thorpe, I’m baffled by Mr. Lambert’s remarks. You don’t like Carole at all. Does he actually wish to marry her to you? Your wife is exceptional. Are you going to divorce her?”
Ellie was beautiful, gentle, fascinating, and sociable. It would be a shame to lose her. Moreover, Kaiden was in high spirits after marrying Ellie, rarely losing his temper at thepany. Bruce hoped they could remain together forever.
Kaiden scowled at him without uttering a single word. Bruce frowned, stroking his chin thoughtfully. He couldn’t hide his confusion. “Is there another Lambert daughter besides Carole that I’m not aware of?” His face bore an expression of perplexity and disbelief. In his mind, Ellie was unparalleled in terms of appearance, virtue, and intelligence.
Kaiden squinted at him. “Why do you alwayse to Ellie’s defense? Did she bribe you?”
Bruce raised his voice. “Absolutely not! You’re my employer. You supported my education. I owe you my loyalty!”
Not wanting to continue the conversation, Kaiden grabbed his car keys and headed to the garage, determined to drive to Omiros’ school where Ellie was waiting to pick him up after the exam.
Ellie’s car was a Land Rover SUV, not as ostentatious as typical luxury cars, but it belonged to an exclusive, limited-edition range. It remained a rare gem, usually reserved for the affluent.

Kaiden instantly recognized it as Ellie’s, but she was nowhere to be seen inside the vehicle.
As time passed, his patience wore thin. He was on the verge of calling Ellie when a familiar silhouette caught his eye in the distance.
The first session of Omiros’ exam was nearing its end. Ellie emerged from the café alongside Kristopher. She bid Kristopher farewell and wandered toward the parking area.
She flinched when she saw Kaiden’s intense stare, unprepared for his presence, especially given his earlier involvement in a crucial meeting.
Her heart raced as she suspected that Kaiden was upset about her meeting with Kristopher. At a loss for words, she nced between the two men, who stared at each other with mounting tension.
Despite the silence, she sensed that their animosity was resurfacing and could easily lead to a bitter confrontation.
