?Chapter 779:
For two days, Jorge had to endure Talon and his family’s presence in the hospital ward. Thanks to them, his morale improved slightly.
However, when the doctorster informed him that he would be bedridden for the rest of his life, Jorge lost his temper. For him, this was no different from death. His anger red, and he couldn’t stand the presence of Talon and his family any longer. He drove them away.
“Sir, we have found no evidence of foul y on the part of Talon and his family. He’s your son and has always treated you with the utmost respect. It’s impossible that he would ever harm you!” the butler reported.
Under normal circumstances, Jorge would never question Talon and his family’s intentions. However, things had changed.
epting his new condition as a paralytic was incredibly difficult for Jorge. It made him more vulnerable to overthinking and paranoia. Everyone around him began to seem suspicious in his eyes. Even the butler, who had spoken kindly of Talon, started to appear suspicious to Jorge. He began to wonder if this man, who had served him faithfully for thirty years, might have been swayed by Talon.
After much contemtion, Jorge concluded that there was only one person he could trust. Only that person had his best interests at heart and no ulterior motives.
Having made up his mind, Jorge typed on the keyboard, “Bring my wife here.”
With Kaiden’s situation temporarily settled, Ellie spent her day catching up on her backlog of work, preparing two stylings for a fashion design cover at the studio. It wasn’t untilte at night that she finally returned to Moon Manor.
The lights in the main house were on, and the whole building was brightly lit. Ellie was momentarily stunned. She remembered Kaiden mentioning that he would be workingte today. Could he have returned before her?
The thought of seeing Kaiden filled Ellie with joy and anticipation. She unconsciously quickened her pace, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
As soon as she walked into the house, she was greeted by Brisa, who seemed surprised to see her.
???????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????
Ellie’s initial joy waned slightly. However, she quickly regained herposure and put on a warm smile.
“When did you get here?” Ellie asked with a smile.
What she really wanted to ask was, “Why are you here?”
But presenting such a question would have been rather rude, insinuating that Ellie was unweing toward Brisa.
Since Ellie had learned of Brisa’s past with Kaiden, her view of her former mentor had changed somewhat. However, she still respected Brisa.
Brisa smiled back and exined, “I’ve been here since this morning. Kaiden asked Hugh to pick me up and drive me here. He said he needed to discuss his father’s situation with me.”
Realizing that Brisa was still standing, Ellie gestured for her to sit first. At the same time, Ellie was deep in thought. Could it be that Kaiden intended to inform Brisa about Jorge’s stroke?
