?Chapter 670:
There were already a lot of people waiting at the dock when Carole arrived, almost at the same time as Ellie. Despite being about ten meters apart, they recognized each other instantly.
A woman in a ck leather skirt stood at the dock, wearing high heels and arge, fashionable sun hat that covered her head. Beneath the sun hat, most of her face was hidden by ck sunsses, with her lips painted bright red.
The director and the producer were conversing with her, but she mostly nodded and gave only asional verbal replies, her tone cold and distant. Everything about her radiated dominance. She seemed like someone born to be a queen, and no one dared to look down on her.
But suddenly, she seemed to sense something and quickly looked up. “Ma’am, Carole ising,” one of the crew members said.
“Miss Lambert, your sister is here to see you.”
It was well known that Carole was Katharine’s sister, so the crew immediately informed her of Carole’s arrival.
“Katharine!” Carole called out excitedly, quickening her pace.
When Katharine heard Carole’s voice, she removed her sunsses, revealing her stunning face.
She nced at Carole, who was rushing toward her, then shifted her gaze to Ellie.
“Mrs. Thorpe!” Katharine called out as she walked toward Ellie.
Immediately, the crowd fell silent, their surprise evident.
Carole, only a few steps away from Katharine, froze. The joy in her eyes turned into disbelief.
She was stunned to see that Katharine had ignored her and went directly to greet Ellie instead.
It felt like a p in the face, and in public, no less! Her face flushed with embarrassment, while jealousy surged in her heart stronger than ever.

The whispers began among the others present. “Katharine is Carole’s sister, isn’t she? But she just ignored her sister and went to greet Ellie, right?”
“Could it be that Katharine agreed to sponsor the show because of Ellie, not Carole?”
“At first, it sounds ridiculous, but when you think about it again, it doesn’t seem impossible.”
“Hi, Mr. Thorpe,” Katharine greeted Kaiden politely. “I’ve heard a lot about you.” Since Kaiden was holding Ellie’s hand, Katharine didn’t offer to shake his hand.
“Miss Lambert, I’ve heard a lot about you too,” Kaiden replied, acknowledging her greeting with a nod.
Katharine wasn’t interested in engaging in much conversation with Kaiden, so she quickly turned her attention to Ellie, smiling warmly at her.
“Thank you for taking care of Susanna, Mrs. Thorpe,” she said with gratitude. “I’m sorry I haven’t been able to thank you sooner.”
