?Chapter 601:
“Kaiden, we are in a parking lot! Inside the car!” Ellie was extremely anxious. She recalled how, despite his usually cool demeanor, he loved seeking excitement.
“I won’t tolerate any pranks in my car! If you do, I’ll stop picking you up after work!” she threatened, but the idea of him being deterred by not being picked up seemed futile.
Kaiden couldn’t help but scoff quietly to himself. After a short pause, he gave her a pat on the back as if showing some kind of forgiveness, then released her.
“We’ll use my car next time,” he said.
Ellie muttered to herself, “There’s not going to be a next time!” As she returned to the driver’s seat, she drove back home, making a point not to look at Kaiden. She was utterly mortified. How could he just sit there as if nothing happened? Was it just men being naturally unfazed?
Just as they neared the gate of Moon Manor, two figures burst out, causing Ellie to m on the brakes in shock.
“Ellie! Ellie, get out of the car!”
Demi banged on the car window.
Litzy blocked the car’s path, making it impossible for Ellie to drive on. Both looked worn out, a far cry from the polished appearance expected of affluent women.
Ellie rolled down the window, her expression clearly showing her displeasure. “I’m done with the Gordon family. Move aside!”
“After everything, how can you wreck my life again?” Demi shouted.
“Get lost!” Kaiden, looking annoyed, quickly made his way back to the bedroom.
Demi’s boldness vanished the moment she caught sight of the man’s stern face in the passenger seat. Pressing herself against the window, she begged, “Mr. Thorpe, please have mercy on me! I promise I won’t trouble Ellie again!”
“Demi, getting kicked out for stealing others’ work, ming people for things they didn’t do, and messing up your own life were your choices, not because Kaiden wouldn’t let you off the hook,” Ellie said, her expression hardening into a scowl.

“If he hadn’t brought all that stuff to light, I wouldn’t be the joke I am today!” Demi screamed, pointing at Kaiden in anger. Kaiden quickly called the estate’s security toe over.
Litzy had intended to stop Ellie from leaving until she gave in, but she thought better of it in Kaiden’s presence.
“Ellie, Demi making these mistakes is because she didn’t grow up with us. It’s not really her fault… Now, Demi’s facing a penalty of ny million for breaking her agreement. Since this started with you, you really ought to help sort it out. It’s not a big deal for you!” Litzy hinted that it was all Ellie’s responsibility.
Ellie watched them quietly.
Thinking Ellie was softening, Demi and Litzy shared hopeful nces. However, their hopes were dashed when Moon Manor’s security showed up to take them away.
“If you trouble Ellie again, we’ll be seeing you at the police station,” Kaiden warned them coldly.
