Chapter 397

    ?Chapter 397:

“Don’t spout nonsense, Ellie! My future husband will definitely love me wholeheartedly!” Essence red at Ellie.

While her angry voice was loud and attracted the attention of everyone around them, none of them could figure out the reason for her outburst.

Subconsciously, Kaiden turned his head to stare at Ellie. When she looked back at him, there was a faint smile on her face, which was in stark contrast to the provocation in her eyes. The fire in her eyes seemed to be making it clear that it was his fault that other people were dissatisfied with her.

Kaiden pursed his lips and looked at the woman who was driving a wedge between them.

Essence could feel the chill of Kaiden’s re, causing her to tremble and lower her head. She quickly tried to y it off like she hadn’t said anything at all.

“Miss Robbins, there is something that remains unclear to me.” Ellie stopped looking at Kaiden and shifted her attention to Essence. “Since you like Kaiden, why don’t you expend all your energy on chasing him, but instead choose to cause me headaches all the time?”

“It’s better for Carole to get Mr. Thorpe than for someone like you to get him!”

Essence could not ept a world in which Ellie was the woman Kaiden chose to spend his life with. She was painfully aware that she could never measure up to Carole. When she heard that Carole was not in the country, she thought she had a chance, but then Ellie suddenly showed up from nowhere and snatched Kaiden right from under her nose!

Essence had known Kaiden longer than Ellie did. The Robbins family had a close rtionship with Kaiden, a fact Ellie’s family couldn’t boast of, and to make matters worse, Ellie came from a troubled family! Essence would never ept the fact that a woman like that defeated her!

“Kaiden, I have something to ask you. You and Miss Gordon…”

Carole struggled to suppress her curiosity, but it would be odd if she didn’t inquire about it. After all, Kaiden had brought Ellie here today. Kaiden didn’t say anything.

He didn’t like it when others hesitated and waited for him to speak first.

Carole couldn’t bear the silence anymore and had to say, “I’ve heard the rumors about you and Miss Gordon and the nature of your rtionship… Is it true?”

    м?г? υρ??т?? ?т g?l????l?.???

It was impossible to determine if she was asking whether the gossip was true or if the rtionship was real.

Kaiden said indifferently, “The gossip is fake.”

A small smile curved Carole’s lips, and she was in the process of breathing a sigh of relief when Kaiden shattered her happiness with his next words. “But the rtionship between her and me is real.”

    “Well… What?”

Carole heard what he said, but the manner in which he said it made it difficult for her to understand him.

Kaiden nced at the woman in the luxurious cashmere overcoat a few feet away. She sat on the sofa, lost in thought, her delicate hands cradling her chin. She was as still and stunning as a painting, and her thoughts were a mystery to everyone around her.

Kaiden looked away from Ellie and addressed Carole, who was standing right in front of him. “Carole, Ellie is my wife.”

The revtion hit Carole like a truck. She staggered back two steps before she was able to stop herself. Eyes wide, she stared at Kaiden in disbelief, her mind a confused mess.
