Chapter 391

    ?Chapter 391:

While she couldn’t control his actions, Ellie understood that aspects of their rtionship required gradual change and couldn’t be ignored. Cold determination etched on his handsome face, Kaiden retorted, “You made me angry too.”

“Then I’m sorry, I apologize,” Ellie said, unsure of the cause but swift to mend the bridges.

    Kaiden’s temper wasn’t a novelty for Ellie.

However, she chose not to dwell on it.

Momentarily speechless, Kaiden was caught off guard by this unexpected side of Ellie.

Pursing his lips, he hadn’t anticipated such a facet of her personality. “Are you mute now? Did someone glue your mouth shut?” Ellie teased, attempting to pry open his lips with her fingers.

In the past, those who showed such disrespect to Kaiden would have faced grave repercussions. Yet, with her, even in his anger, he found himself unable to assert his usual authority.

Ellie seemed determined not to let it go without an apology.

After a brief standoff, Kaiden finally conceded. “Sorry,” he mumbled.

He must be out of his mind to apologize!

“What was that? I didn’t hear you.” Ellie frowned, struggling to catch his whispered voice.

Kaiden’s grip on her waist tightened, enough for her to feel it without causing any harm.

“I said, I’m sorry!” After the initial apology, the subsequent ones became easier.

Disying his annoyance while recognizing his inability to change the situation, Kaiden inquired, “Are you satisfied now, Mrs. Thorpe?”

Instantly, Ellie’s mood lifted, and she responded with a coy tilt of her chin. “Yeah!”

Kaiden huffed in response, finding her seemingly entitled behavior particrly charming.

    “Then let’s continue!”

His lips descended on hers once more.

Sensing the kiss’s intent, Ellie promptly shielded her lips with her hands, blinking at Kaiden with wide eyes.

He remained calm, but the desire in his eyes was unmistakable.

“What are you ying at now?” he hissed.

“Weren’t you going to get me milk tea and fried chicken?” Sleep no longer interested her. She desired ate-night snack.

“You said you didn’t want any.” Kaiden clenched his teeth.

Now was not the time for milk tea and fried chicken!

    “Oh, I changed my mind.”

Her flip-flopping was apanied by apleteck of shame.

“Too bad, we’ll get it tomorrow,” Kaiden dered, shutting down any further argument and firmly pinning her. His desire tonight was exceptionally strong.

Without warning, he seized her by the thighs and lifted her from the bed, supporting her by the buttocks. Taken aback, she reflexively encircled her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck, afraid of losing her bnce.
