Chapter 390

    ?Chapter 390:

“I won’t do those things again,” he promised.

Ellie froze, taken aback by Kaiden’s reply.

“I’ll steer clear of everything you just mentioned,” he dered. He had always been amodating with Carole’s wishes and hadn’t imagined Ellie would be concerned about such things. To him, these seemed like minor issues.

    Ellie was momentarily speechless.

This was not the reaction she had anticipated. Yet, there Kaiden was, offering her the sincere exnation and reassurance she sought. What else could she ask for?

Still, a hollow feeling lingered within her, difficult to define and unsettling.

“Rx, don’t look at me like that,” Kaiden said, his hand gently covering Ellie’s eyes.

He found it hard to bear the look of inquiry and bewilderment in her eyes. His wife should live a carefree life. Her eyes should reflect the same.

With her eyes closed, her thickshes brushed against his palm, stirring a sensation as if they were touching his heart.

Kaiden’s hand then moved to the nape of her neck, gently coaxing her head upwards, and he ced a kiss on her lips.

The kiss was fervent and intense, a mix of raw emotion, and a desperate attempt to mask something else.

His other hand slid under her pajama top, reflecting on the convenience of such attire for moments like this.

Ellie was almost unable to adjust to the sudden change in the situation until she felt the tactile sensation of Kaiden’s fingertips on her skin.

“Get off me!” Ellie protested, attempting to shove him away.

However, Kaiden skillfully utilized her resistance, firmly pinning her down onto the bed, her form sinking into the covers.

“I’ve taken a shower,” Kaiden dered, deepening the kiss, leaving no room for her to express her disdain.

    M?????? ?????????????? ???? ??????????????????.??????

Ellie pushed hard against his chest, but her efforts were in vain. In defiance, she resorted to a swift kick, strategically targeting his vulnerable areas, since overpowering him proved impossible.

Startled, Kaiden stopped and blocked her feet with his legs.

Bending his knees, he secured her legs, thwarting any further mischief. “Where do you think you’re kicking?” Kaiden clicked his tongue in frustration. “What if you hurt my sensitive areas? What then?”

“Kaiden, the problem isn’t resolved yet. I don’t want to gloss it over with this,” Ellie insisted tenaciously.

He wouldn’t have stopped had she not kicked him there.

“How else do you want to resolve it?” He thought he had already cleared things up.

Unyielding, she continued to resist. Kaiden’s patience was wearing thin, and the interruptions made him increasingly annoyed.

“Kaiden, you owe me an apology,” Ellie said, emphasizing each word.

“What?” Kaiden found the notion absurd.

“You made me angry. You should apologize,” Ellie insisted.
