Chapter 328

    ?Chapter 328:

Kaiden, lighting a cigarette, spected, “Or, perhaps Marvin’s mind is perfectly fine.”

    Marcelo’s demeanor shifted subtly.

He regainedposure quickly, but Kaiden noticed.

    “You’re joking,” Marcelo stated firmly.

Kaiden was direct. “The two men who attacked Marvin were no match for him. How then did he fall?”

Marcelo felt the pressure, aware of Kaiden’s keen observation skills. Kaiden didn’t let up. “My men were involved in finding and hospitalizing Marvin. How did you locate him?”

The only usible exnation was Marvin orchestrating the situation himself.

Marvin must have already reached out to his men.

Marcelo was aware that Kaiden was exerting pressure, yet his motives remained unclear.

“I’m not concerned with your boss’s intentions or the Hill family’s affairs,” Kaiden stated, ready to conclude the discussion. “But make sure there are no ns against my woman.”

“Understood. Don’t worry,” Marcelo assured him. “Mr. Hill will not forget the kindness you and Miss Gordon have shown him.”

Ellie once again expressed her gratitude to Theo for their assistance and the Stephens family’s discretion in keeping matters confidential. While the Stephens family appeared neutral, their actions in rescuing Marvin and concealing his location suggested they had chosen a side, likely influencing the Hill family’s perception.

“You’re wee, Ellie,” Theo replied, not dwelling on the matter. “Actually, Edwin recently took a medicine box with several specific drugs.”

Ellie, understanding his implication, nodded awkwardly. “Yes, for Marvin. But Edwin didn’t know him.”

Theo sighed. “The fact that Marvin survived Edwin’s treatment is a stroke of luck.”

For a moment, Ellie was unsure if Theo was being sarcastic about Marvin or Edwin.

Meanwhile, Marvin, still clutching Baylee’s hand, was protective, like a dragon guarding its treasure.

With the Stephens family tending to Marvin’s wound and his men ensuring his safety, Ellie and Kaiden were free to leave.

As Ellie prepared to head to the GT Group building for work, she apanied Kaiden.

“Just drop me at the next corner,” she directed, pointing to a spot near the GT Group’s building.

Kaiden was puzzled by Ellie’s actions.

Ellie exined, “I’d rather not be seen by yourpany’s staff.” Though it wasn’t peak hours, the GT Group’s premises still had a steady flow of people.

Ellie was well aware of her reputation at the GT Group. Having coborated with them and been a topic of conversation multiple times, she was a known figure there.

Kaiden’s expression remained frosty, as if he hadn’t heard her.

    Was it improper?

    Why was that?

    Weren’t they a couple?

Or was their rtionship inappropriate for others to know?
