Chapter 329

    ?Chapter 329:

    “Kaiden!” Ellie grew anxious.

Encounters with senior executives had been manageable since they were discreet. However, being spotted by regr employees could spark widespread gossip.

She dreaded bing the subject of workce rumors.

Kaiden’s stubbornness only heightened her anxiety.

In a spontaneous gesture, Ellie closed her eyes and nted a kiss on Kaiden.

This tender, fleeting kiss had worked as a gesture of gratitude before, so perhaps it would again.

Bruce, witnessing the scene, quickly averted his gaze, feigning ignorance.

Kaiden’s eyes widened, his pupils flickering, yet his face remained stoic.

    “What was that for, Ellie?”

“Uh… A bribe,” she said, cheeks flushing.

Why had she thought a kiss would work?

“Forget it. I was just…” she stammered.

    “Stop the car,” Kaiden instructed.

    Ellie looked at him, surprised.

Kaiden, suppressing a smile, seemed pleased. “Alright, your bribe worked.”

“Miss Gordon, is something the matter?” inquired a GT Group employee, looking puzzled.

“Sorry, I was just distracted,” Ellie responded, her mind still processing Kaiden’sment about the sessful bribe.

Could it be… that he genuinely enjoyed her spontaneous kiss?

“It’s okay. Let me exin again. For the uing spring fashion week at the end of next month, we’ve arranged for you to coborate with Light. However, if you prefer working with Freddy, we’ll have to withdraw from the partnership with Light.”

Light was renowned in the international fashion scene. Historically, they had engaged only the finest stylists as directors for their shows.

“I’ll stick with Light,” Ellie announced. She felt her own style and vision didn’t align with Freddy’s, but she was still puzzled. She asked, “Why did Light choose me? There are many more established options for them.”

“Many of Light’s senior leaders were involved in the YEAR program. You’re the youngest gold medalist from YEAR. You have the talent; you just need an opportunity. They greatly admire your work and believe you can bring a fresh perspective to their show.”

Indeed, while other top stylists offered reliability, the fashion world often craved innovation and breakthroughs.

Right after Ellie wrapped up her work, she checked her phone and found a message from Howard. It was a poster of her uing lecture, crafted by the student union’s publicity team. Howard had sent it for her approval.

Simultaneously, a picture of that same posternded on Kaiden’s desk. Aware of Ellie’s uing lecture, Kaiden asked, “Have those campus rumors been sorted out?”

With a subtle expression, Bruce said, “The PR department has a n in ce, but it seems someone at the school is already handling it pretty well. We mightplicate things if we step in now.”

“Who’s behind it?” Kaiden asked, having a suspicion about who it might be.
