Chapter 133

    ?Chapter 133:

Kaiden waited, anticipating her next words, but she found herself at a loss for words.

Was it not normal for men to experience such reactions in the morning? What truly stood out was Kaiden’s deliberate act of guiding her hand to touch his sensitive part after she woke up.

At breakfast, Cayson, the observant butler, noticed something amiss with Ellie.

“Mrs. Thorpe, why are you using your left hand today? Is your right hand injured?” he asked with genuine concern.

“No, it’s just… I’m trying to improve the flexibility of my left hand,” Ellie replied, her voice tinged with a hint of defensiveness. She was instinctively inclined to hide her right hand but restrained herself, realizing it might give away too much.

That hand… She didn’t want to eat with her right hand right now. It felt sore and weak.

    “Okay,” Cayson nodded.

Observing Cayson’s eptance of her exnation, Ellie sighed in relief. However, when she nced up, she saw Kaiden from across the table, smiling faintly.

His handsome face was expressionless as usual, marked by an innate indifference, but Ellie could detect a subtle hint of mockery in his eyes. After giving it a shot, Kaiden became addicted to having her assist him in fulfilling his desires.

Kaiden was usually busy with his work. Bruce, his associate, had been waiting outside the main building for him.

Ellie, still reeling from the morning’s encounter, was too frustrated to spare Kaiden another nce.

Bruce, ever perceptive, inquired, “Mr. Thorpe, you seem to be in a good mood today.”

Kaiden’s indifferent nce towards Bruce was all the answer needed.

Bruce, well-acquainted with Kaiden’s mannerisms, understood the unspoken message. Kaiden tacitly acknowledged the observation but preferred not to discuss it further.

Even without further inquiry, Bruce could surmise the reason behind Kaiden’s good mood.

Bruce observed the dynamics between Ellie and Kaiden with curiosity. He noticed that Ellie hadn’t even nced at Kaiden when he left, yet Kaiden seemed remarkably cheerful. It appeared that Kaiden’s good mood was somehow linked to Ellie. This puzzled Bruce, especially since Ellie seemed upset with Kaiden. Kaiden was getting more and more difficult to understand.

In a gesture of gratitude, Ellie arranged a lunch meeting with Theo. They met at a renowned high-end family cuisine restaurant in Critport.

“Mr. Stephens, I want to express my gratitude for your assistance to my grandmother on this asion.” Ellie gently slid two palm-sized, finely wrapped presents toward him. “These are just small tokens of appreciation. I hope you like them. This one is for your mother, to show my gratitude for her assistance on that day.”

“No worries. On behalf of my mother, I ept your heartfelt thanks. As for what I have done for you, I’ve told you that it was your husband’s contribution.” Theo reclined in his chair, legs casually crossed. He disyed meticulousness in the operating room, but once he shed his white coat, he and Kaiden shared a yful side, making them somewhat alike in that regard.
