    “Ah!” Ellie suppressed a startled gasp as she felt his proximity from behind, his body pressing against hers.


    Kaiden had thoroughly enjoyed holding her in his sleep the night before, finding the experience somewhat addictive. Eager to relive that sensation, he sought to hold her close once more.


    “Ellie, did you drink milk?”


    “No,” she replied.


    “You smell like milk.”


    Ellie silently questioned his sense of smell.


    Being embraced in such a manner was unfamiliar to her, yet she couldn’t bring herself to ask Kaiden to release her. After all, to onlookers, they appeared every bit the genuine couple, and his actions didn’t seem excessive.


    Ellie tried to calm her mind, hoping that sleep woulde swiftly. If she were asleep, she reasoned, these feelings would disappear. Perhaps due to the exhaustion of the day, her n seeded, and she soon drifted off.


    The next day, waking up to Kaiden’s handsome face beside her, Ellie blinked her drowsy eyes and shut them again, intending to return to sleep. But after a brief moment, she snapped her eyes open in astonishment, staring at Kaiden.


    It took a few seconds for her to remember. She had shared the master bedroom with Kaiden. She mentally urged herself not to panic. Kaiden, a light sleeper and always alert, had already awakened.


    He observed Ellie’s transition from confusion to panic, and then to sudden realization. It was surprising to see someone as intelligent as Ellie so disoriented.


    “Good morning, Mrs. Thorpe,” he greeted, sitting up and leaning against the headboard.


    His voice was low and raspy, charged with an undertone that sent a tingle through her ears.

    “Good morning,” Ellie eventually responded after a significant pause, her voice barely above a whisper. “You’re awake?” Kaiden asked.


    Ellie blinked, slightly bewildered.


    Wasn’t it obvious? She had already opened her eyes and engaged in conversation with him. She was clearly awake. Yet, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that Kaiden’s gaze had darkened, his eyes carrying a mysterious and perhaps even dangerous glint. Was she imagining this?


    In Kaiden’s eyes, a flicker of satisfaction was evident. Beneath the quilt, he gently took her hand, guiding it towards him. But when her hand inadvertently brushed against his genitals, Ellie’s eyes widened in shock.


    Her eyes were captivatingly beautiful. At times, they held a hint of cunning, and at other moments, they exuded sheer charm, and sometimes… like at this very moment, her eyes bore an expression of innocence and purity.


    However, what her fingertips came into contact with was far from clean.


    “You… It’s so early in the morning,” Ellie managed to stammer, finding the situation beyond belief.
