    For crying out loud! The wedding night had gone quite differently.


    After freshening up, Ellie sipped the honey water a maid had brought, straining to piece together the previous night’s fuzzy memories.

    Then, the maid leaned in, her voice sincere. “Mrs. Thorpe, you should know how much Mr. Thorpe cares for you. He was by your side all ofst night.”


    Ellie massaged her temples, puzzled. “What exactly happened?”


    With a gentle smile, the maid recounted, “You were found dozing in the bathroom, and Mr. Thorpe was the one who discovered you. He immediately called for a doctor.”


    A wave of relief washed over Ellie, d that nothing more serious had urred.


    The maid continued her tale. “You were quite affectionate,menting about your wound. Mr. Thorpe was there,forting you through it all.”


    Ellie choked on the honey water, her shock evident. “Hold on! What did I do? And how did he react?”


    “You were being quite flirty,” the maid recalled, assisting Ellie in piecing together her actions. “You cuddled up to Mr. Thorpe, and he wasforting you, even offering to buy you a bag. But you wanted hot chocte instead. You even kissed him!”


    The maid finished her story with a knowing smile.


    Ellie felt a rush of panic at the mention of hot chocte and a kiss.

    Realizing the maid wasn’t making this up, Ellie covered her face, feeling a deep sense of embarrassment.


    “Could you… please leave me alone for a bit?”

    Puzzled, Ellie inquired, “Who could be behind this?”


    “There’s no concrete evidence, but rumors suggest GT Group might be involved,” Baylee exined over the phone.


    Given GT Group’s international prominence, they certainly had the means to orchestrate such dramatic downfalls.


    Such power could even pose a threat to the Thorpe family.
