Chapter 153

    ?Chapter 153:

He cast a gentle look at her and inquired, “Have you seen the news on the Inte?”

As Belinda’s lips parted to respond, a cold interruption came from Kristopher standing just behind her. “She released the news. Of course, she’s seen it.”

Wounded by his usation, Belinda pressed her lips tightly together, her voice trembling as she began, “The news on the Inte…”

“Don’t take nonsense. Belinda didn’t release it,” Anthony interjected firmly before she could continue. “If Belinda had wanted to expose your affair with Cathy, she wouldn’t have waited until now.”

“Grandpa, please don’t say that. What do you mean by affair?” Kristopher asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.

“There’s absolutely nothing going on between me and Cathy.” As he spoke, he turned his head to look at Belinda. His lips curled into a sneer as he continued, “Moreover, it was Belinda who trapped me into marrying her while I was unconscious. She wedged herself right between us. What right does she have to publicize our marriage certificate and paint Cathy as the homewrecker?”

His voice was low and firm, conveying his conviction that it was indeed Belinda who had leaked those images online.

“How many times must I say it? I didn’t do it,” Belinda retorted, her expression one of frustration.

Kristopher, leaning against the door with his arms crossed, fixed her with a steady gaze and challenged, “You didn’t? Then exin this to me—where did the photo of our marriage certificatee from? Since our wedding day, you’ve held onto that certificate. When you left the Cox mansion, you took it with you. Who else could possibly have it?”

Belinda remained silent, her frown deepening.

Indeed. She had always been the keeper of their marriage certificate. Initially, she preserved it out of love for the union. Now, she kept it with her because she thought it essential when she was going to have a divorce from Kristopher and didn’t want to misce it. Yet, she had never photographed it!

“And look here,” Kristopher said, pulling out his phone to show her a photo. He pointed at the light gray sofa and pillow captured in the image and asserted, “If I’m not mistaken, this is your new apartment, isn’t it?”

Belinda nced at the photo, and confusion clouded her features. The setting was unmistakably her apartment. As this realization dawned on her, herplexion grew pale.

What on earth was happening? She had always kept the marriage certificate securely in her suitcase and never once took it out.

She hadn’t even mentioned it to her best friend! Who could have done this?

    The room fell silent.

After a moment, Anthony furrowed his brow and said, “Even if Belinda possesses your marriage certificate and the background of the photo is indeed her apartment, it doesn’t conclusively prove she’s the one who took and released it.”<fn0254> Latest content published on find?novel</fn0254>

As he spoke, Anthony waved a hand towards Kristopher and suggested, “You might as well take the time to thoroughly investigate the truth.”

With a weary frown, Kristopher replied, “Grandpa, this woman’s actions caused ourpany’s stock to plummet. The shareholders are demanding answers. Why do you continue to defend her?”

Upon hearing this, Anthony’s frown deepened, and his gaze grew stern. “Perhaps your girlfriend orchestrated all this to turn you against Belinda.”
