?Chapter 152:
Kristopher, rigid and silent, gave her nothing but a cold re. Clutching her stomach, a surge of pain caused by excitement coursed through her. Belinda confessed, “I hadn’t seen the news on the inte at all.”
Exhausted, she stood up, leaned against the wall, and faced him squarely. “You’ve erased the photos and wired five hundred million to my ount. There’s no reason for me to lie.”
She paused, her eyes searching his, and continued, “Anthony… Is he alright?”
Kristopher’s frown deepened, his face unreadable. Her gaze, filled with genuine concern, seemed to soften him slightly.
He turned abruptly, irritation clear in his movements, and opened the door. “Hop in. I’ll take you to him.”
Belinda, her lips pressed tightly together, followed him, her anxiety palpable.
As the car door shut with a loud thud, Kristophermanded the driver in an icy tone, “Drive to Peace Hospital.”
“Peace Hospital?” Belinda echoed, confusion and shock in her voice. “Anthony… I thought he was well. Why would he be at Peace Hospital?”
“His emotions got the better of him; he’s developed high blood pressure,” Kristopher exined, his gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside the window.
He added dismissively, “Cathy was also being treated there. It made sense to have him nearby for convenience.”
With a sneer, he remarked, “Besides, if a healthy person like you can feign illness at Peace Hospital, why can’t my grandfather receive real treatment there?”
Belinda bit her lip, choosing silence over words.
They arrived at Peace Hospital shortly after.

As soon as Belinda stepped out of the car, she dashed toward the floor where Anthony was staying.
Ignoring the elevator, she raced up the stairs.
Kristopher watched her hurried figure ascend, his brow furrowed in thought.
Her deep care for Anthony was evident, so why had she made decisions that could only hurt him? Was she unaware that a sudden drop in Cox Group’s stock would be immediately noticed by Anthony? Could she not see that the shock might be too much for him to handle?<fnd723> Content originallyes from find?novel</fnd723>
In the ward…
“Anthony!”
The moment Belinda swung the door open, she dashed forward and embraced the elderly man propped against the headboard. “Are you okay?”
Anthony, initially startled by the sudden hug, recognized her, and his expression softened. He smiled wearily, lifted his hand, and gently patted her shaking shoulder. “It’s okay. I’m fine. You know I’m tough. What could possibly happen to me?”
The robustness in his voice only intensified Belinda’s distress. She pulled back slightly, her eyes brimming with tears, and stammered, “If you’re really okay, why are you here…?”
Anthony offered a reassuring smile and reached out to hold her hand. “I just got worked up when I saw the news…”
