Chapter 136 Calyx
“Princess is a faster learner,” Juliet says in approval as we watch Beren run and turn smoothly.
“She is,” I say in agreement as we watch Beren run her suicides.
“Alpha,” George says hesitantly as he watches Alec and Beren run.
“What?” I ask, not taking my eyes off my mate.
“Have you seen Miles and Nathan?” he asks.
“In the cells,” I tell him, not hesitating.
“What did those idiots do now?” Sean asks with a sigh.
“They challenged me to an unfair challenge,” I tell them.
“Of course it’s unfair,” Julietughs. “They’re idiots who don’t think.”
“No, they both attacked me for leadership, at the same time,” I tell her seriously.
“They, they wouldn’t,” George denies. “They were our brothers. They wouldn’t challenge you.”
“They challenged me at the same time,” I growl in frustration. I’m wondering for the second time, if bringing Ama here was a bad idea. I am about to tell Beren to run for home when Juliet starts talking.
“They were both idiots who thought they were tough enough to challenge the Alpha,” Juliet
counters.
“They always thought that they were the best,” Sean sighs.
“Please, them bothbined are worse than Alec,” Julietughs.
“They put up a good fight,” I sigh in relief that I will not have to fight my way out of here and
protect my mate
Juliet smirks at me. She then turns her attention back towards the two wolves running. “Sean.
“The usual?” Sean asks as he takes off his shirt.
“Don’t hold back,” she tells him. She then looks at me and raises an eyebrow at me in challenge
I don’t say anything, as much as I want to, I don’t. Beren can handle whatever is thrown at her
Chapter 136 Calyx
Sean transforms and runs straight at Beren. Panic irs through the bond, I have to stop myself from transforming and protecting my mate.
Beren dodges, using the same technique she had been using to turn while doing the suicides. She then stops in her tracks growls at the threat of therge gray wolf with white paws.
“Keep doing the suicides, princess. This is stamina and dodging training. Don’t let Luca get you,” Juliet orders.
Beren shoots me a look and waits for my response. I nod my head and the fakes of rune
Alec nips at Beren’s paws as he runs by. Beren jumps up and over the threat before she
run.
‘You could have warned us about the attack,‘ Ama snarks as Beren keeps running.
‘We will not always be there to protect you little one,‘ Zviad growls as he holds himself back from
transforming and defending her.
I know it pains Zviad to admit that we will not be able to protect her. If we had any say in it, we will
always be there to protect Ama and Beren until our dying breath.
Sean’s wolf jumps and tackles Beren. The pair go rolling across the floor. Beren pops to her feet and growls at the threat.
“We’re not working on defense today. Keep running and dodging,” Juliet orders.
Beren is frustrated as she takes off running. She wants to attack those that are attacking her. She
lets out a growl at Sean and Alec as theye near her.
“Keep running,” Juliet orders sternly.
‘Do what she says,’ I tell Beren through the mind link.
Beren huffs at me but keeps running. She lets out a growl at Sean as hees near. Sean’s wolf,
Luca, growls back and nips at her nk. Beren uses her turn maneuver to kick out at Luca. Luca has
quickly dodge her attack, giving Beren time to get away.
“She’s good,” George says.
I try not to preen at the praise for my mate. Beren and Ama are quick studies.
I know that this is not what they wanted to learn, but for now it will have to do. Basics are drilled into us since the beginning and we don’t have time to get her to top warrior status. But we do have time to get her in retreating and some defense training until someone can help.
Chapter 136 Calyx
Beren keeps moving. She dodges and rolls across the floor to the next line. She digs her ws into the scared flooring and hulls herself up. She takes off like a shot.
The next attackes from Luca. Beren digs her ws into the floor and snaps her jaws into his front leg. Beren uses her momentum to roll them. The force takes Luca down and there is a loud snap, that echoes across the room. Luca lets out a growl of pain.
Beren stands to her paws and backs off. Guilt floods through her and the bond.
“Nice one princess,” Julietughs.
Luca limps away and huffs as heys down beside George.
“Way to break your leg,” George smirks down to his friend.
Sean growls as he nips at George’s leg.
“Keep running princess, if one rogue goes down, there is one more to take his ce,” Juliet orders.
“I hurt him, a pack member,” Beren growls in anger.
“You did good,” George tells her. He then pulls his own shift, back into his ck and white wolf. He then takes off directly towards Beren.
Beren scrambles to get out of the way. She growls at the new threat.
“Keep going princess,” Juliet orders sharply.
Alec uses the distraction to tackle Beren. The pair go rolling across the floor. Beren turns her head and snaps at him. She stays low and growls. Alec and George back off to give Beren space to stand

up.

Beren gets to her paws and growls. She takes off running. I can feel her anger directed at me and at Juliet. She is mainly angry at me for tricking her. She wantedbat training, not running and
evasion.
She snaps her jaws at George as he gets to close.
“My turn,” Juliet smirks as she shifts, ripping her clothes. She races across the floor and plows into
Beren.
Beren goes rolling across the floor. She shakes her head to get her bearings. Beren has a brief look of panic before she scrambles out of the way. Juliet’s ck wolf continues to relentlessly pursue her Beren takes off, trying to outrun the new threat, but she is tired.
Beren is slowing down as she continues to run suicides, and dodge threats.
