Because of what happened to Mandy, everyone left early.
Next door, people were still drinking and making toasts, but Indya stepped out briefly to confirm some
details with Chris.
When they got home, Jessica was removing her makeup in front of the mirror.
Chris stood behind her, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, staring at the floor in a daze with a meaningful expression.
Jessica looked at Chris through the mirror.
“Thinking about Mandy?”

He had originally thought the person manipting Megan was in Room 316, but after the investigation, that possibility was ruled out.

Thinking back on the past two days‘ conversations with Michael, Jessica remembered the gloating tone in his voice.
