For a moment, the entire room went quiet.
Even Jaden, who didn’t know much about the situation, sat still<b>. </b>
No one had expected Roy to bring such explosive news.
“We’ve already begun the investigation. Because of Megan’s actions, we’ve merged Mandy’s kidnapping case into our task force. Now we need a breakthrough.”
Chris understood what Roy meant.
The task force was now filtering through Mandy’s personal connections.
Mandy’s parents said their daughter was obedient and sensible, someone who would never make
enemies.
They had no idea who might have kidnapped her, and they knew nothing about the hard drive the kidnappers mentioned.
“We turned Mandy’s room upside down and still didn’t find the so–called hard drive.”
Right now, the only person who might know the identity of the kidnapper was Megan.
The kidnapper and the mastermind were surely the same person.
“Alright, I understand.”
Chris paused for a moment and sent a message, calling Francesca over.
Francesca, along with Shannon and the others, was in the next room.
Everything now relied on the public rtions department–Indya was drinking with a group of colleagues, and the secretary of Mr. Chase from Wind Pharmaceuticals had already joined in.
After receiving the message, Francesca immediately came over with Shannon.
“Francesca, tomorrow I want you toe up with an excuse to bring Megan to my office.”
Chris paused and, seeing that Francesca understood, added, “Don’t alert too many people.”
Right now, it seemed clear that the hospital was not safe.
Megan definitely wasn’t the only outsider.

“Calum had just left, and she got kidnapped? Could it be that they’ve noticed Calum?” Shannon asked in
surprise.
Roy shook her head. “Unlikely, I know Calum’s capabilities. If he wanted to stay hidden, there’s no way he’d be seen. I’m more inclined to believe the other side just acted at the perfect time.”
And yesterday’s perfect timing… Wind Pharmaceuticals.
Everyone had been busy fighting over usage and distribution rights, and had no time to deal with Mandy.
Once everything settled and the kidnapper had no other obstacles, they finally made their move.
That meant the kidnapper had to be on Wind Pharmaceuticals‘ list.
Francesca listened through the situation briefly and understood that someone had been kidnapped–this was a big deal.
“Alright, I understand. By the way, Mr. Green, the signing at Wind Pharmaceuticals is at nine o’clock in the morning tomorrow. I’ll be waiting outside your house to pick you up at 10 past eight.”
“Alright. Thank you.”
Francesca gave a small smile and nced at Shannon.
Seeing that they hadn’t finished talking, she tactfully excused herself.
“Your secretary’s pretty good,” said Roy.
Sitting across from him, Collin smiled and teased, “Of course. That’s Francesca.”
Roy, who wasn’t involved in the family business, might not have known Francesca’s name.
Nina exined, “She’s the best secretary in the country. She entered the industry two years earlier than Shannon. Both I and Jessica tried to recruit her, but she turned us down. She was set up by her previous employer and was sent to prison. It was Jessica one who got her out.”
