<h4>Chapter 251: BUSYBODY</h4>
<i>TO TATTLE or not to tattle...</i>
Garam was supposed to be looking for a ce where his children could take swimming lessons, but he couldn’t focus.
Hence, he could only stare at hisputer screen.
"Honey, do you want to go swimming?"
Oh.
Garam almost forgot that Song Sihyuk was at home because it was the weekend.
His husband kissed the top of Garam’s head before sitting on the chair next to him.
That was how the two of them ended up hanging out in the gazebo while having fresh orange juice and some bacon, eggs, and toast.
It was practically their second breakfast.
And it was quiet because the kids weren’t there.
Song Gunwoo went out to y with his younger cousins, while Seulgi was still asleep.
"Gunwoo wants to go to the Maldives," Garam told his husband while enjoying his avocado toast. "It won’t be our first time going to the beach, but I’m extra worried now that we have Seulgi. So, I want to be prepared. Gunwoo already knows how to swim, but it won’t hurt if he apanies me and Seulgi during our swimming lessons."
Song Sihyuk raised an eyebrow. "You already know how to swim, honey."
"Yes. But, this time, I’m thinking about taking lessons on how to save drowning people. Thankfully, there are academies that offer rescue training to civilians."
Song Sihyuk frowned, obviously in deep thought.
<i>No, Hyung isn’t upset with me— that’s just his face when he’s thinking.</i>
"So, while Gunwoo and Seulgi are taking swimming lessons, I’m nning to learn how to save drowning people, especially drowning children," Garam said, ncing at Song Sihyuk. "You don’t like the idea, Hyung?"
"No, it’s good to be prepared. But I’m not sure I like the idea of people seeing you in your swimming outfit."
Aigooya.
"There’s a reason why we only go to private beaches, honey."
Garam rolled his eyes.
"If you want to take rescue lessons, I’ll teach you," Song Sihyuk offered. "I was in the Marine Corps during my time in the army, you know?"
"Hyung, I know how busy you are, so forget it."
"Since it’s already summer, should we move to a house with a pool?" Song Sihyuk asked, ignoring what Garam just said. "Or we can move to my penthouse. It has an indoor pool."
"Seulgi is just getting used to our house, so let’s not move in the meantime. Plus, we can use the pool in the clubhouse."
"Tsk."
"Hyung, stop being narrow-minded. I’m not young anymore, so stop thinking that everyone is out to steal me from you."
"What are you talking about, Lim Garam? You’re still as hot and gorgeous as you were years ago. If I let my guard down, those pests won’t leave you alone..."
"That’s your imagination, Hyung. But, even if there’s someone stupid enough to approach me with that kind of intention, do you think I’d dump you for that person? Do you not trust me?"
"I trust you— but not those bastards."
Aigooya.
"Stop it, Sihyuk Hyung. You can’t stop me."
"Tsk."
"Stop clicking your tongue at me, Song Sihyuk-ssi."
"Sorry."
"I already have a lot on my mind, so stop stressing me out with your unwarranted jealousy."
"What’s on your mind, honey?" Song Sihyuk asked worriedly, smoothing the lines that appeared on Garam’s forehead when he knitted his eyebrows out of annoyance. "Can I help you with anything?"
"I’m not sure about what to do, Hyung," Garam said, hugging Song Sihyuk’s arm. Then he ced his chin on his husband’s shoulder while looking up at him. "Should I tell Hanseo Hyung that Kang Daeho is being sly? Even though I don’t have evidence to back it up? It’s not like we can tell Hanseo Hyung about your conversation with Dr. Seong."
"I told Seong Kyungmin to have an honest conversation with Gong Hanseo," Song Sihyuk assured Garam. "They’re adults, Garam-ah. I’m sure they’ll talk just fine. Seong Kynungmin is good at talking. And wasn’t Gong Hanseo your former leader? I remember him being eloquent when giving a winning speech on behalf of your group."
"Well, yes. Hanseo Hyung was our leader, so he was used to talking on behalf of our team. But that was him being professional. But, honestly, Hanseo Hyung tends to be avoidant when ites to his personal problems. So, I’m not sure how to bring up the issue with Kang Daeho. I have a feeling that Hanseo Hyung will avoid talking about it."
"Do you want me to talk to Gong Hanseo, then?"
"What are you going to say to Hanseo Hyung if I allow you to talk to him?"
"I’ll tell him to get his shit together and be more assertive."
Garam frowned, and then he red at Song Sihyuk. "Wait a minute. You should be scolding Dr. Seong, Hyung."
"Well, it was Gong Hanseo who kept forcing Seong Kyungmin to visit the pregnant Omega," Song Sihyuk said, shrugging. "It’s all because Gong Hanseo is afraid that the baby might get affected if the pregnant Omega gets upset that this is happening. I understand that Gong Hanseo wants to keep the baby safe, but he still should put some boundary."
Tsk.
Garam knew that Song Sihyuk was right, but he was still upset on behalf of Gong Hanseo.
While he was thinking about how to defend his hyung, he got distracted when his phone rang. And when he saw the name on the caller ID, he immediately picked it up.
"Yes, Hanseo Hyung?"
<i>"Garam-ah, can we meet today?"</i>
"Of course, Hyung," Garam answered immediately, despite the loud sigh that Song Sihyuk let out. "Let’s have lunch together."
<strong>***</strong>
GARAM smiled when Song Sihyuk sent him a picture.
It was a picture of Song Sihyuk feeding Seulgi wagyu cubes for lunch.
He was satisfied to see that his daughter was holding broli in her little hands.
<i>My baby is eating well.</i>
"We’re here, Madam."
Garam sent a message to Song Sihyuk telling his husband to feed Seulgi fruits to clean her pte, and then he raised his head. "Thank you, Geon Hyung. I’ll call you when I’m done with my meeting. Feel free to spend time with your family until then."
Since it was the weekend, Garam sent Shin Junho home to spend time with Shin Jina.
<i>Sihyuk Hyung is at home anyway, and the household ahjummas are there to y with Seulgi if Hyung needs a break.</i>
"Understood, Madam," Shin Geon said. "Please call me anytime."
Garam just nodded before stepping out of the car.
To be honest, even if Shin Geon had already left, it didn’t mean he waspletely alone now.
<i>I have shadow bodyguards with me to keep me safe from afar.</i>
"Garam-ah."
<i>Oh, Hanseo Hyung was early.</i>
Garam smiled and greeted Gong Hanseo before sitting across from his hyung.
The two of them decided to have lunch in a traditional Korean restaurant— the kind with separate rooms for privacy.
They needed to talk about something important, after all.
But while the servers— dressed in traditional clothing— were arranging the delicious meals on the table, Garam and Gong Hanseo only talked about trivial stuff.
However, once the doors were closed...
"Garam-ah, I don’t know what to do anymore."
<i>Ah, it’s here.</i>
Garam nodded encouragingly. "Tell me, Hyung. I’m here to listen."
"I think I need to tell you the story from the start so you’ll understand my side," Gong Hanseo said. "It started when Kyungmin Hyung and I identally met Daeho Hyung..."
<strong>***</strong>
<i>"YOU’RE at the hospital? Why, babe? Are you sick? Which hospital is it?"</i>
"Your hospital, Hyung," Gong Hanseo answered while unfastening his seatbelt. He called his boyfriend as soon as he parked his car. "I had this burning pain in my upper abdomenst night, but it disappeared after I took some meds, so I didn’t tell you about it. But it happened again after I had lunch. So, I decided to get checked up."
<i>"Oh, no. It sounds serious. Are you in the hospital now? I’lle and get you."</i>
"I’m at the basement parking..."
Gong Hanseo trailed off when he saw amotion happening right in front of him.
He saw a tall and huge man dragging a tall yet petite man by the wrist.
<i>A couple, or a pervert and his victim?</i>
The two seemed to be yelling at each other, but Gong Hanseo couldn’t hear it clearly.
<i>"Babe, is everything alright? I’m on my way."</i>
Gong Hanseo was about to tell Seong Kyungmin that he didn’t have to fetch him, but he got distracted when he saw the huge man p the petite man.
He let out a loud gasp, shocked by the violence he had just witnessed.
<i>"Babe, what’s happening?"</i>
Gong Hanseo didn’t get the chance to respond to Seong Kyungmin again because he finally saw the face of the petite man who had just gotten pped hard.
And he knew that person.
"Daeho Hyung?"
Kang Daeho was a close sunbae from his university.
And someone he used to have feelings for before.
<i>"Gong Hanseo, tell me what’s happening."</i>
"Hyung, sorry," Gong Hanseo said while opening the car door. "I’ll call youter."
He ended the call and threw his phone at the passenger seat when he saw the huge man about to hit Kang Daeho again.
Worried about his sunbae, he meddled in someone else’s affair.
"Hey, stop that!"
Gong Hanseo immediately stood in front of Kang Daeho protectively.
And that was probably when everything started going downhill.
