?Chapter 1567:
“It’s delicious,” Christina said after a sip. “The coffee’s great, too.”
She lifted another forkful toward him. “Okay, try this one.”
This time, she didn’t tease him. Her eyes sparkled with eager anticipation.
Once he took the bite, Christina tilted her head, curious and expectant. “Well? How is it?”
“Perfect. If you like it, I like it too.” Dn traced his fingertips lightly along her cheek.
No matter how long he looked at her, it never felt like enough.
His smile was soft, his eyes warm.
Christina fed him another bite, her happiness blooming fully. She could feel it clearly—how their connection kept deepening, how their love grew stronger day by day.
This gentle side of Dn was something only she ever witnessed.
Who would have imagined that a man known for being cold could be so soft and warm around her?
She could sense the strength of Dn’s feelings, as if everything else around him faded until only she remained in focus.
“Next time we visit Joelle in Kitaso, could you make something special? I want her to taste your cooking,” Christina asked, her eyes shining with hope.
“Of course.” Dn ruffled her hair lightly. “Just tell me what she likes, and I’ll make it.”
“Okay.” Christina suddenly leaned forward and wrapped him in a tight, grateful hug. “Thank you… really.”
“And how exactly are you nning to thank me?” Dn murmured in a low, teasing tone.
Christina leaned close to his ear, her voice warm and tender. “Dn… you’re the best.”
“My Chrissie is the best,” Dn replied, pulling her closer. His nose brushed the side of her neck as a contented smile touched his lips.

He wished he could hold her like this forever, never letting go. There was no one else in the world he wanted but her.
As Christina was driving back, her phone lit up with Robin’s name. She answered immediately.
“Mrs. Dawson slipped on the staircase! They’re rushing her to the hospital right now. Pleasee quickly!”
Fear clenched in Christina’s chest the moment she heard his voice. She made a sharp turn at the next junction and raced toward Dorfield’s top medical center.
“What happened to her?” she demanded. “How bad is it? Tell me everything.”
Robin answered, “I don’t know. When I walked in, she was already rolling down the steps. Katie and Ynda were both there. I really can’t say whether someone pushed her or not.”
Christina’s face hardened. She ended the call and pressed the elerator harder.
Brendon arrived at the hospital in a rush, breathing heavily.
“Where is Grandma? Is she alright?”
“I don’t know yet. They are still working on her,” Katie answered through tears.
