?Chapter 1566:
He was nearly at the elevator when Edwin rushed after him.
“Mr. Scott, where are you going? I have a document that needs your signature…” he said, holding the folder out quickly.
“I’m stepping out for a bit. I’ll be back soon. If anything urgentes up, call me.” Dn flipped through the pages, signed without hesitation, and handed them back.
A faint curve touched his lips.
Edwin blinked in surprise. What on earth could make the famously stoic Dn smile like that?
Only Christina ever could.
Had they already reconciled?
Edwin forced himself to stayposed, though a spark of excitement flickered in his chest.
There was no doubt now—the only woman worthy of bing Dn’s wife was Christina.
That entire scene with Robin earlier… maybe it had been nothing more than Dn’s way of stoking a little jealousy in her. That was just like him. His mind never followed ordinary logic. His moves always yed out on a level no one else could match.
Inside the car, the moment Dn settled in, he pulled Christina into a firm, warm hug.
“Did you arrange this… for me?” he asked, loosening his hold when he noticed the drink in her hand.
“Yes. I missed you, so I brought coffee and some dessert to share.” Christina spoke openly, making no effort to hide how much she had wanted to see him.
A deep,forting warmth spread through Dn’s chest.
“Thank you. I love it.” He took the coffee from her, leaned in, and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead—a gesture so tender it left no doubt about his affection.
The thought that she hade all the way near his office just because she missed him filled him with a quiet contentment.

“This is chocte cake. Want to try some?” Christina offered a sliceyered with apricot jam and silky cream, topped with a glossy dark chocte ze. She held a tiny fork ready in her hand.
“Sure,” Dn replied, reaching for it.
But Christina pulled the fork back with a teasing glint in her eyes. “No way. I’m feeding you.”
“Alright, Chrissie. I’ll let you take care of it.” His smile softened, his world narrowing to her gaze.
Christina scooped up a bite and shed him a yful grin. “Open your mouth.”
Dn obeyed without hesitation, watching the fork draw near. A warm, uplifting feeling washed over him, soaking into every part of his being.
But at thest second, she pulled it back and ate the bite herself. Her triumphantugh filled the small space—bright and irresistibly cute.
Instead of feeling tricked, Dn found himself even more enchanted. She was lively, sweet, impossible not to adore.
“Is it good?” he asked softly, patting her head before offering her the coffee. “Here, have some.”
