Chapter 1543

    ?Chapter 1543:

“Miss Cullen,” Christina began, offering a small smile, “have you seen the trending news today?”

“Huh? What news?” Vickie asked, feigning ignorance.

“Just look up Dn Scott and Robin Miller.” Christina watched Vickie closely, not blinking.

Seeing Vickie struggle to keep herposure made Christina’s earlier irritation fade. Everyone deserved a taste of their own medicine.

Vickie had no choice but to pull out her phone and search. When the photos loaded—showing the two men in close proximity—a sharp pang of anger hit her.

Was she really being beaten by a man?

Those two had spent years at odds, and now they were suddenly linked? It seemed absurd.

“No way!” Vickie eximed, covering her mouth dramatically. “What’s going on here? They… they aren’t actually involved, are they?”

Her shock wasn’t entirely fake; she was probing for the truth. She reasoned that Christina, being close to Robin, would know.

“Think about it,” Christina replied calmly. “With the influence the Scott and Miller families have, why would this story still be online if it weren’t allowed?” Her tone was light, deliberately misleading.

If Vickie wanted to believe Dn was interested in everyone, Christina was happy to let her imagination run wild.

Poor Robin, though—he’d just be another target of Vickie’s dislike, just like her.

In fact, Robin might have it worse. Christina was merely the ex-wife; Robin was the current, more scandalous interest.

As for the mysterious third person Robin had invented—Dn leaning in to “confirm” the rumor had made that anglergely irrelevant. Public attention had fully shifted to the possibility of the two men being a couple.

Vickie’s brow furrowed tightly. If the news were false, Dn would have squashed it immediately.

    ???????????? с???ρ???????? ??α??????ν??????﹒?????

The fact that it was spreading freely… Could he be testing public reaction to the idea of them as a pair?

The more she considered it, the more usible it seemed. But how could Dn be drawn to someone who constantly defied him, yet ignore someone as devoted as she was?

“Miss Cullen?” Christina called, having to repeat the name several times.

Vickie finally snapped back to the moment and managed an awkward smile.

“Oh, sorry. I just remembered something urgent. I should get going. Don’t forget—both of youe to the ball,” she said, her smile visibly forced.

“Of course.” Christina maintained a small, calm smile, her eyes narrowing slightly to conceal their sharpness. She intended to find out exactly what Vickie was nning.

The following evening, Christina returned to the Dawson estate and immediately noticed Bethel’s absence.

“Miss Jones, dinner is served,” the maid said quietly.
