    “Are you finished?” Christina asked coolly, ignoring his idea.


    “Yeah… I’m finished,” Brendon said, freezing for a moment.


    “Then go,” Christina said, dismissing him without hesitation.


    Brendon stomped off, irritated. He realized he shouldn’t have trusted the anonymous sender.


    What was the point of a picture of Dn with another woman? Christina and Dn weren’t dating anymore.


    Christina had simply angered Dn, resulting in the cklist—that was all.


    If the sender wanted to drive a wedge, they should have sent proof about Robin being with someone else.


    If the Hubbard family withdrew support, Christina would be alone, forcing her back to him.


    Brendon had more to say but knew he couldn’t push her. “I guess I’ll leave then.”


    The second Brendon was gone, Robin stood up quickly. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll handle Dn,” he said, walking out without looking back.


    Christina almost called out to stop him but, after a pause, allowed him to leave.


    Whoever sent the photo clearly wanted Brendon to see it. But sending it to Christina made no sense—outsiders didn’t understand her real rtionship with Dn.


    The only person who would send it was someone who knew the truth about her and Dn… and also knew the public rumors were false.


    All signs pointed directly to the person who had started the rumors.


    Christina’s lips curved into a faint, almost imperceptible smile. Deep down, she knew that no one could trulye between her and Dn.


    “Christina, don’t let that idiot bother you,” Bethel said gently, giving her hand a firm, supportive squeeze.


    “Whatever argument you two are having, I’m on your side—always. If he really messed up, he’s not worth a single minute of your fabulous life. You taught me that rules are for other people. The money I left you is more than enough to keep plenty of attractive young men entertained. Honestly, the world is full of options. If he’s a disappointment, you just upgrade. And by the way, if you ever decide you prefer women, I’ll support that too.”
